Beautiful view

Great location with beautiful view of the ocean. Only complaint was the couch, you could feel every spring in it. Slightly dated decor, but who is looking at that with the view?

Our stay was excellent. The condo was clean. The beds were comfortable. The couch needs to be replaced, it is worn out. We didn’t feel comfortable seating on it.

Senior Spring Break

This was spring break for my senior and freshman in high school. The second bedroom with 2 beds was perfect! It gave my best friend and I the master. Everyone had space to spread out and relax. Views were breathtaking, amenities were good (especially the heated pool at the end of March) and beach access was easy. A little dated but for us that added to the charm. Beds were hard but we had everything we needed for a week exploring, beaching, fishing and relaxing. Would rent again!

Very nice unit with the exception of queen bed in master bedroom. Mattress was very uncomfortable and the unit needs to have a king size bed.

This unit is very tired.

Bathroom floors were filthy, with a current tenant of a cockroach. Beds are very used, what was I thinking, everything was used. Probably a good unit for spring break kids, they couldn't hurt anything of value. Really, all you are getting is the view. It's a shame the owners don't want to reinvest in their property. Start at the front door knob and replace.

Beautiful view and very peaceful

Location, view and tranquil atmosphere worthy of 5 stars. Loved beach access, and beach was not crowded. Only reason I give 4 stars is the accommodations themselves. Beds are old, uncomfortable and can create issues for those with existing back problems. The balcony had several cracked tiles and soft spots that were a bit alarming (clearly damage/rot and not settling). Probably worst of all was the small spider infestation in the kitchen. Lots of small red spiders swarmed anything that was placed onto the counter. This made it impossible to cook or even set food out. A good cleaning and exterminator would help a lot. Overall wonderful experience. PERFECT for star gazing!

Disaster from start to finish

This was the worst vacation my family has ever experienced. We stayed for two weeks in B201, the same unit my parents and I stayed in every summer in the 1990s, and nothing has been updated since then. There was LOUD construction the entire time and the unit we were in was totally run down. We were told in late April (having made reservations in January) that there would be some construction, but given no details, but it was already too late to find a new place to stay at that point. Then in June, we were told that our oceanfront balcony would possibly be off limits. We were NOT told that the entire area around the building would be covered in garbage, nails, screws, and other construction debris, that the walkways would be unsafe and obstructed by equipment, nor that our ocean view would be blocked by scaffolding and workers singing and playing music loudly (in addition to the constant, loud construction noise), and working most days from 7:30am until the sun went down. So much for taking even a single peaceful afternoon nap on my 2 week vacation. This was supposed to be a present to my parents for their 49th wedding anniversary, but my mother who had knee surgery last year spent most of our trip inside instead of on the beach because it was totally unsafe for her to try and navigate the patchwork of rotting plywood, scaffolding, heavy construction equipment, and rotting boardwalk planks. This place is not remotely up to code or ADA compliant, so avoid the whole complex if you have any mobility issues. The unit we stayed in, B201, has not been updated since the 1980s. The couch was literally the most uncomfortable piece of furniture I've ever sat on, with springs poking you and barely enough room to sit. I was prepared from the pictures for some "retro" decor, but he giant hideous silk sunflowers in the bedroom looked like they had actual mold covering them. Our bathroom was unusable for 2 days while they repaired a leak, which was inadequately repaired, and then for another 2 days while they tried to fix it again. One of the dining chairs and one of the living room chairs were both broken. An end table was broken. The blinds were broken and falling apart. The kitchen was so poorly equipped we had to run the dishwasher twice daily and supplement with paper/plastic. The pots and pans were damaged, cheap, and few. There were multiple large roaches. The internet is ridiculously slow and appears to be shared between multiple units. After all of this, I got a text the day before our last day there that the construction crew would be painting the stairs from 8am-1pm the next day and we could not leave our unit during that time. They could have easily done one of the staircases at a time, but expected us to just not come or go for a whole day. Jolene, one of the management company employees was very nice and helpful, which is literally the only thing that redeemed the experience. So if you're reading this, Jolene, thank you for your service.

Fantastic!

Fantastic stay! Just what we needed for our family! Gorgeous views from the balcony. Bring your own beach/pool towels because they’re not provided unfortunately. Small details... no kitchen scissors, no knives for chopping food, and the bars on the balcony are wide apart. We were worried about out 2 year old getting through and falling. But overall it was an awesome stay, nice big space and worked well for our family of 5. Thank you!

Poor - ★

This was our 2nd year in a row at the Hibiscus and likely our last. The property grounds and the beach access was great. The area of opportunity was the condo that we stayed at (HIBISCUS B201). This property was not clean upon our arrival and had a bug issue. It's pretty sad when you have wear face covering while sleeping for protection. This condo is dated and in need of TLC.

Beautiful View but in Need of Upkeep

First, the pros: the view is wonderful! The access to the beach is terrific. The pools and hot tubs on the property are fantastic. It's a great location, and the beach here is wonderful. The maintenance staff is responsive and friendly. The A/C quit working in our condo, and maintenance quickly came to check it out. They diagnosed a clogged drain, did what they could to fix it, and called a service company, which also responded quickly. The A/C worked great the rest of our stay. Second, the cons: I am not a condo diva. I do not require updated kitchens and baths and cute seashell-themed decor. So long as the room is clean and has a good view of the ocean, I am happy. This unit, however, really could use some general upkeep. For example, I love a beach sunrise, but I like to have the option of whether I want the sun to hit me in the face first thing every morning. Unfortunately, because the blinds in both front rooms were missing so many pieces, there was no way to close them fully. Also, when my 14yo daughter first sat in a dining chair, the back of the chair fell out. Two of the bath towels had large rips in them, and the sheets in the master bedroom also had holes. A pillow in the other bedroom likewise was ripped with stuffing coming out. The carpet and paint in the unit are old and discolored around the edges, which gave it a not-so-clean feeling. The grossest thing, however, was when my husband went to make coffee on our first morning there, opened the coffee maker, and found a used coffee filter in it -- full of wet grounds and fuzzy gray mounds of mold. Again, the overall complex and location are terrific. The view is lovely (and you can see it from 2/3 of the front windows, as the other 1/3 are permanently fogged). I can get down with the Golden-Girls-era decor. But this unit needs some better upkeep with linens, blinds, and cleaning. That didn't stop us from having a wonderful family vacation, though!

Great View and Spacious

We loved the size of the condo and the view was excellent. It was very clean and the rental management was excellent. We suggest some things: (1) On the Balcony there is one bar height stool - perfect to sit and see over the railing and the great beach view. There should be at least two of these stools - preferably four. The two lower chairs on the balcony give you a view of literally the deck railing. (2) Replace the vertical blinds with blackout curtains. The MBR was missing some blinds and it was "blinding" first thing in the morning. (3) The ceiling fan in the guest room was missing the chain that operated the lights. With no way to turn off the lights, you could only have the fan on with the lights - so no fan at night when you were sleeping. (4) It could use a new couch. (5) Consider putting a king bed in the MBR - there is plenty of room. We loved the location - easy to park and access. We would rent it again.

Time Away

Location was great, communication with management company was excellent. (I can't recall the gentleman's name, I think Marcus) When we had an issue, it was addressed promptly and professionally. Couldn't ask for anything more. Space was clean and adequate. There was some maintenance or remodeling going on up stairs but not much you can do about that. Grounds were clean and guests were nice. Friendly atmosphere and we felt safe as a family in that location. Beds were fine. For us, we would have enjoyed more comfortable living room furniture. It was not very comfy. All around a nice stay and we would come back again. Thank you

Awesome view and location

We really enjoyed our week at the beach. The condo had an awesome view of the dunes and the ocean. We spent a lot of time on the deck just watching the waves. Place was one of the cleanest we have stayed at. The decor and finishes are quite dated and could really use some updating. The couch and the master bed both really need to be replaced as neither one were very comfortable. Overall, we would stay here again. The neighborhood was close to all the attractions and was very quiet.

Beautiful place with a great view.

Spent the week with my family. Very quite. Right on the beach however if you are carrying lots of gear to the beach to spend the day you might want to consider driving and parking on the beach right up the road and cost $10 but totally worth it. Location was perfect. We will definitely be back.
