This is a 2 story house with the apartment located on the second floor of the home. This apartment is a complete unit separate from the downstairs. The apartment is entered from the ground floor with an inside staircase that leads to the second floor. It is a beautiful apartment with a fabulous sunset marsh view. From the space on the second floor you can enjoy the panoramic view and the many marinas through the oversize windows and front porch. Sailboats, Shrimp boats and other water vessels provide a rich visual feast. The scene is always changing. Lush landscaping in the yard and the upstairs apartment looked newly refurbished and quite interesting – like being in an art gallery. The kitchen was well stocked, communication was excellent both with in the house, but with the host as well. In a quiet neighborhood away from the business of old Saint Augustine, but easily accessible with a trolley or walking. Also close to current day amenities on the other side of the water. The apartment was clean, roomy and well furnished. Communication with the owners was excellent and they were very accommodating to special requests. Nice views from both front and rear porches. Designated assigned off-street parking place is convenient and saves cost of downtown parking. Will check availability of Marina Sunsets first when making any future visits to St. Augustine. The location couldn't have been better, we were able to walk downtown everyday and the history and architecture was so much more than we expected. The house itself had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including two porches where we could relax and enjoy the sunsets. We will be back! P.S. Most comfy bed ever (if only the pillows were the same but nothing to take any points away). Go visit all the cool stuff in the area. The marina, distillery, but all the cool little shops.
