It is an easy 3 miles to the slopes of Smugglers Notch Resort! This is a unique family property that consists of our primary residence with the rental being a separate and private "mother in law" home built by my parents to help facilitate family gatherings. Our family has made many lasting memories here and want to make your stay special. We are available for anything you need and are happy to advise you on things to do in the area. We have lived in this area for 26 years, drawn to it by the many recreational opportunities, mountains and relaxed lifestyle. The home is secluded enough to provide privacy yet the activities in the area are only minutes away. It has a private entry, one car garage, ample parking, wood stove, granite kitchen counter tops, master bath with a jacuzzi bathtub. Large windows in the living area allow you to take advantage of our southern and easterly sunny exposures with beautiful mountain views. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and has all you will need and more. It is complete with gas range, dishwasher, refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave and a coffee pot. We also provide pantry staples like sugar, salt, flour, spices, etc to help you prepare your own meals with the food you bring. Linens, towels and blankets are all provided. This home has 4 bedrooms to fit 8 people comfortably. No more than 8 people allowed to stay at rental. Off the kitchen, there is a large deck with a picnic table and table with chairs and umbrella. The deck gets all the morning sun and is great for morning coffee. You will have access to trails for walking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing (see pictures). We even have a professionally lined pickle ball court in the front courtyard and equipment available for your use and enjoyment! There is flatscreen TV with cable network for watching shows, sporting events or movies. You will also have access to wireless Wifi. Enjoy everything the area has to offer during each season: skiing, hiking, kayaking, fishing, swimming and the best foliage in VT. The area offers many family-friendly activities, restaurants and dining, and a setting you can relax in. It is less than 1/2 mile from The Barn at Smugglers Notch, a beautiful, wedding barn. Just one mile down the road, in the quaint town of Jeffersonville, Hanley's General Store offers food, groceries, and Vermont made goods. The Cupboard Deli has the best sandwiches, beer cave and donuts. The Boyden Valley Winery is 5 minutes away. The Smugglers Notch Distillery offers tastings of local award winning spirits. Restaurants in the town of Jeffersonville, like The Family Table and 158 Main, allow for dining choices off the mountain. Access Stowe by taking a breathtaking drive through the mountain pass road (Rte. 108) that connects Smugglers Notch and Stowe. Stunning during foliage! The house is bright, clean with everything you may need and more. Plenty of extra supplies (paper towels, soaps, detergents, toilet paper, towels, spices, oils), mostly any small necessity you typically have to buy yourself in any rental to use once or twice, or may forget to bring. Beds are very comfortable, house is sparkling clean and fresh. And if you are lucky with clear weather, the view from the back of the house to the woods and mountain is just beautiful. As buddies living in Burlington during college, Smuggs was our hill. we decided to return this year and we stayed at Keta and Peter’s property. It was perfect. Everything you need is on site. The kitchen is superbly equipped. The home is very spacious, and can easily accommodate small and large groups. The beds are comfortable. There is plenty of room for up to ten people. The living room/dining area serves as the ideal place to gather, chat, eat, and laugh. Even though we didn't use the deck, it would have been a perfect additional place to gather during the spring or summer. The house and the deck overlook the beautiful woods, providing an idyllic private, quite setting close to the town of Jeffersonville. Being five minutes down the road from Smuggler’s Notch allows easy access to a superb skiing experience for every caliber skier. Keta and Peter were the perfect hosts. They are on site next door, but unintrusive. They were there to answer any questions we may have had, and provided us with a binder of useful information on things to do in the area. I gladly recommend their home to anyone interested. As mentioned, it is perfect for families and groups of friends. Thank you for hosting us. We really appreciated it.Barry ##### Barry Z. I stayed at Keta and Peter's house for a girls weekend with my mom and sisters. It was the perfect place for us. It is extremely clean (some of us are hard to please in this category and we still give this property 5 stars in cleanliness). The sunlight pouring in through the big windows in the living/dining room made it bright and cheery. The kitchen has every appliance and gadget you could possibly need. The back deck with a view of the mountains is to die for. The house is spacious and very comfortable. Although there were 5 of us, we each got our own space - the four of them got their own bedrooms and I turned the downstairs common area into my bedroom with the pull out couch. Keta was VERY communicative leading up to the trip with regular messages with helpful info for us - making our check-in smooth and easy. While we were there I had a few questions and Keta responded right away. After our visit, my sisters wanted to know what kind of mattresses and pillows she has (because they slept better than they have in years) and Keta went above and beyond getting us the manufacturers of both. The location is great for that wonderful blend of "away from it all" with the private back yard, yet close enough to Stowe and other attractions to make being a tourist easy. Clean, comfortable, and very spacious rooms, with beautiful outdoor deck and grounds. Plenty of room for kids to play and run around outside and well appointed game selection for kids and adults.
