"The room was basic but it had almost everything we needed. Cons: the wifi didn’t work very well, the bathroom was basic, and the fridge didn’t work. Pros: the bed was comfortable, the property was quiet but still conveniently located, and we got to watch monkeys swinging around in the trees outside. The host of the property was lovely and he served up a great breakfast each morning. Overall I did enjoy staying at this place. "

"We had a very particular Nil room. You have to reach the and leave the room with a boat. To get out from the room you need to contact the reception with wifi which was not available all the time .This made a challenging stay and also very particular.You are in the nature .As all is widows it might be a little bit hot in day time. "Great location for visiting sigiriya, but despite coming up as "Dambulla" on the map, it's about a 20 minute drive from there. Busses to Dambulla run from the end of the road and are quite regular. The rooms are basic but nice enough. Our room was not dirty but not spotlessly clean either. It had a private patio which was perfect for relaxing. "Location - I am a regular guest at this property. It’s a bit of a heaven , utterly relaxing, surrounded by nature. The quality of my sleep always improves when staying at the property. The hosts, Supipi and Uthpala are super hosts. The meals are mostly made by Supipi herself and of course delicious. This time stayed for 6 days, could have easily stayed longer. Will definitely return."

"What an amazing place and host! It was certainly the highlight of my week-long trip to Sri Lanka. Getting to see the beautiful area surrounding the plantation was an outstanding experience. The opportunities to see the local environment, splash in the pools of waterfalls, and get a personal tour of the tea factory, were incredible experiences that we will never forget. Sumith is the most warm, welcoming, and gracious host and we wish we could've spent more time with him, exploring this community...

"Hotel in line with normal Shangri-La standards. Team here however was absolutely superb - helpful, friendly, great fun people. They made the stay particularly enjoyable. Breakfast is solid 5 star level with good, diverse buffet; the capital bar is wonderful, world standard. Food and beverage was strong throughout. Will stay here again. "
