We loved our stay at Cinnamon Lodge and will be back. The hotel setting is lovely - on huge grounds with plenty of wildlife. The pool is great and the breakfast / lunch / dinner is full of choice and good quality. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful but a shoutout goes to Wasantha who made our stay extra special. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We are a family of 6 stayed in 2 rooms for 2 nights in Habarana Lodge in July 2026. The property was absolutely fabulous, clean and safe. Staff are extremely helpful, courteous and professional. Our check in was easy, particularly Manike was very helpful. We enjoyed the swiming pool, tree house, butterfly garden, spice garden, clean walkways and lush trees of the property. The most amazing experience was the breakfast and dinner buffet. Chefs Nipun and Buddika are extremely talented, creative professional and attentive. Chefs went out of their way to create sweets and special ice cream selections for our children. Food selection at the buffet was amazing and authentic and delightful. Rooms are clean, spacious and amenities are excellent. We will definitely stay here in our next trip to Sri Lanka.

Our daughter was sick while we were here and the staff were so great and called a Doctor for us (who visited us in our room) and the hotel staff checked to see how our daughter was after and if she needed food from the buffet brought to her in our room.

An absolutely wonderful hotel, with a calm, serene atmosphere, that blends in beautifully with it's surroundings. Cinnamon Lodge is the antitheses of a generic, bland, modern hotel, which exudes a sense of unfussy sophistication. The Cinnamon Group's website does not do justice to the architecture or to how lovely the grounds are. The architect took inspiration from the ruins of nearby Ritigala temple (well worth a visit), and it's amazing how comfortably the buildings blend in with the vast grounds. The rooms are huge and nicely furnished, without being "glitzy". We stayed in a suite that was essentially a two story house, and comes with your own butler - in our case Lalith, who made our stay complete - reserving tables, remembering your favourite drink and generally anticipating your every need. The food was consistently excellent over our five night stay. The staff are all warm, charming and do their best to make your stay a memorable one. They are led by an excellent management team, who are visible, approachable and highly competent. Our stand-out memory is of the wildlife - not just at the nearby national parks, but within the hotel grounds. Incredible bird-life, monkeys, monitor lizards, and even an elephant beside the lake. This was all brought to life for us by the hotel's resident naturalist team (in particular Kintu), and we recommend you seek out their expertise. An oasis of calm, in the heart of the cultural triangle.

10/10 Hospitality, very welcoming team, delicious food and superb room. A special shout out to our butler Wasant who kindly gave us a tour of the hotel's farm and butterfly garden, and chef Salih for the amazing food. The location is excellent for the cultural triangle. Highly recommend this hotel.

The White Lotus experience of a garden hotel

Cinnamon Lodge is a huge establishment, very grand with rooms set in lovely gardens by the lake. It has a huge pool and a buffet breakfast and dinner menu. The evening desserts are to die for.

Staff at the reception and dining hall are exceptional, extremely courteous and professional. Especially, a staff at the dining Navodya Dilshani is extremely helpful. Very friendly staff across the board. Great location to reach day trips to Sigiriya, Pollonaruwa, Anuradhapura, Dambulla, and safari/hiking, etc. and unwind/relax at the pool/spa. Lakefront is great for reading or for a morning jog. Rooms/facilities are new and well maintained. Staff goes over and beyond to make your stay comfortable.
