Story Book Vintage Northwoods Lodge Loaded With Charm & Comfort

"We really enjoyed our stay; the cabin is very beautiful and cozy, well-built and well cared for, skillfully decorated, and with a lovely lake view. Our bed and linens were very comfortable, Because the house was so solidly built, noise does not travel much within the house, and the all-wood floors do not creak at all. If the weather cooperates (we were there after Labor Day and it was a little cool/rainy), the screened porch is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the view etc. The kitchen is very well equipped with virtually anything a cook might want. The hosts were very kind and immediately responsive to a couple of issues that arose. One bonus was that after a few days of bathing with the water in the house, everyone's hair was unusually soft and shiny -- I would love to know what's in that water!The lake itself was very pretty to look at, and quiet when we were there (again, after Labor Day), although it's basically a big 'bowl' with not that much for kayakers to to explore, which we like to do, and the water was a little murky. We very much enjoyed the sunset views from the fire pit, and the included firewood. The one downside for us was that there is a small lumber processing facility right next door, cutting logs into firewood. We could hear the chain saws intermittently (fortunately not all day or every day), but when running the noise was significant. There was also construction noise from the lot on the other side of the house, but I assume that was temporary."

"Beautiful setting for family gatherings. Travelled with adult children and young grandchildren. Breathtaking views of lake and sunsets. Quiet retreat. Great fun fishing for all especially kids. Comfortable and well appointed property. Host was very responsive and communicated well."

"Great little cabin in the Northwoods! Beautiful interior that has been remodeled recently- still smelled new! The porch was a hit and we spend our evenings there. Plenty of extra items for your use in case you forgot something. The host was extremely attentive and answered any questions promptly. The binder with entry and exit checklists were also very helpful. Just minutes from shopping, restaurants and Grindstone Lake. Would recommend! One thing to note is that there is NO air conditioning, which caused an issue one morning as it was very warm and we were getting ready to go to funeral. Otherwise we had a great time here!"

"Such a peaceful, beautiful place. If you are looking to relax and get away from the hustle, this is a great place. The dock needs to be replaced. This wasn’t a deal breaker for us but some may be disappointed. We loved everything about this place and hope to go back again."
