Screen in the back porch needs fixing, bath towels need to be replaced, no toiletries just one roll of toilet paper and hand soap, no tv, internet is weak. And the the latter part of the road to get to the house is horrific. Wind was strong (20-30 mph) out of the east most of our trip and being on the western side protected us from some of the wind. Snorkeling in front of house is great, Ralvin Buggies tours was a lot of fun. The best grocery store is The Market in Rock Sound. But for fresh veggies and bread Island Farms! It was very clean and the kitchen has everything we needed since we like to cook a lot. We chose this house for the location, as well as the generator due to frequent power outages and the outdoor grill. Needless to say we were very disappointed when we arrived to see there was not an outdoor grill. Also, we had 4 power outages over 3 days forcing us to cook by the light we brought from home because the generator wasn’t working. Power outages happen but not having the generator as promised was beyond disappointing since it was one of the reasons we chose Bella Mer. The snorkeling was excellent in the creek and from the dock. Bella Mer is such a pretty house with most any amenity you would need (even a wine chiller!). Very pretty interior with an amazing view! The beds were super comfortable and the a/c cooled the rooms quite quickly every evening. Lots of beach gear (although some better beach chairs would be our only request as that is a tough thing to bring but there were lots of floats to hang in the water). It has a perfect set up for a couple or a family or 3 couples. There is a ton of snorkelling gear at the house so don't bring anything unless you are particular of sizes but it seemed there were alot of options. One paddle board was deflated when we got there but we only used the good one anyway so no big deal (there was a pump there but i never tried). We saw all kinds of creatures in the water from little grunt fish, angel fish (gray), a nurse shark right at the ladder, a barracuda, and some turtles all from the porch! Also walk the driveway past the house and walk up the cliffs to watch the sunset! You can easily paddleboard to Ten Bay Beach as well and that is the perfect hang out when the ocean side is windy. We would come back in a heart beat! The beaches around governors harbor and south are great and be sure to do some research of maps before you go and while you are in route as maps and satellite images are the best way to navigate to some places like John Millars which has according to a british woman has STONKING good shells, which it 100% did! Go There and you will have a beach all to your self. Between Bella Mer, Lighthouse Beach, and John Millars, I could easily go back and do it all again! The only downfall of Bella Mer is the drive back to the house but every time we go back we said, Totally worth the drive! ##### Alex D.
