Newly remodeled, the property features 4 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms, a large living room with 13-foot French doors offering endless views of the Sonoma hills, and a 26-foot dining patio for gathering friends and enjoying the weather. Come enjoy the view over the pool, relax on a daybed suspended from a perfectly placed old oak tree while listening to the koi pond quietly cascading in the background, BBQ warming your dinner as you sample some local wine and cheese. El Mirador could be one of the finest places to sit and relax after a long day of wine tasting, hiking, ballooning, biking, shopping, or just enjoying the slow-paced local atmosphere. \-------------------------- Please note: \* DOGS: Small/medium-sized dogs (less than 30 lbs) are permitted with prior approval for the stated daily fee per pooch. Last time we didn’t spend as much time enjoying the gorgeous views and I was determined to spend more time at the house this time. Every evening we sat by the pool and looked out over the hills as the sun went down. The kitchen has pretty much everything you need if you want to stay there and cook. Love dining at the outdoor dining table over looking the pool and hills. The bedrooms were well appointed with plenty of room for suitcases unlike some hotel rooms. The proximity to town was great and despite being so close, we had complete privacy. I highly recommend this property. Our party of 8 travels together frequently and we know when we walk into a welcoming home. Steve has taken care of many details that deliver on the spa experience he promised. You can actually cook in this kitchen! High quality pots, utensils, serving dishes, stove, oven, etc… it’s what you’d want in your own home. The gathering spots are spacious and have enough comfortable furniture so you can just hang out comfortably. The covered patio and east view of the valley is where the money is. Just awesome. We one stay-in, home cooked dinner and it was memorable. The bedrooms are comfy with quality bedding and bathroom accessories. The grounds are beautiful and spacious. Getting to the right gate entrance is a little tricky so try to arrive when the sun is up. Steve is very attentive pre, during and post stay. You’ll receive a House Information Book that is second to none. It’s up in the hills so the views (and sunrises) were beautiful. Kitchen is very well equipped and we were able to host a lovely Thanksgiving dinner with the heaters on the patio. The patio dining and pool chairs were plentiful for our 7 and more. Large kitchen was helpful as we ended up cooking alot. Only 2 miles to Sonoma Square. Owner Steve was very responsive! We had a wonderful view of the sunrise most mornings. Tiffany came to the house and cooked us an amazing meal one night. There were 8 of us and we were all comfortable with our own king bedrooms with bathrooms. LWe were one of four couples staying at this lovely property while we enjoyed the Sonoma area. Every couple had their own bedroom with a king size bed and a private bathroom. We enjoyed the amenities the house had to offer daily (especially the pool!). Also, we thought the location of the property was ideal to downtown Sonoma and neighboring wineries. Finally, the host, Steve, was a pleasure to work with and very attentive to all of our inquiries. We had four couples come from all over the country to celebrate our husbands 40th birthdays. All the husbands grew up together but don't see each other very often. This house was AMAZING!! We all four couples had our own King bedrooms and bathrooms- it also had an amazing living room and kitchen to all hangout and cook in. We had a chef come in and make dinner and the outdoor space with a huge table was a huge it! Everything was super clean and ready for us. I can't rave enough about this house- Thank you, Steve for everything with the house.. answering all of our questions..and checking in with us!! The layout of the house works really well with 4 king bedrooms all with their own bathroom. Two of the bedrooms are in the carriage house which is a few steps away. The location about 5 minutes above the Sonoma Square was convenient although not really walkable due to the steep incline and no shoulder. Steve provided some great information regarding local grocery delivery, names of chefs willing to cook at the property, and guide services in the area. The pool is lovely and stayed really warm throughout our stay. Having a private sleeping space for 4 couples and ample gathering space in the home made this the perfect choice for our family stay. I celebrated my 61st bday with my 3 adult kids, their spouses and my 23 month old grandson. Although we weren’t able to utilize the pool, the outdoor dining area and living room was incredible. Bedroom situation provided perfect alone time but allowed us to all be together. We could a big dinner one night, ordered in one night and enjoyed tons of super restaurants. Wineries were fun and we took a drive to Bodega Bay as well as Train Town for my grandson. We take a Mom trip every year and this house was our favorite. Jul 19, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Off the beaten path of Sonoma El Mirador is a perfect place to remove yourself from the square of Sonoma. Peaceful and serene which is what we wanted for this trip. We had a total of 6 (3 couples) and there was ample room. We stayed in the cottage by ourselves and enjoyed the extra bedroom for watching TV and having the extra room. The first bathroom is small and lacks ample space for your toiletries in my opinion. That suited my husband as he travels light. The beds slept good and the towels were very nice. The kitchen was nicely stocked and well appointed with quality appliances. We enjoyed the coy fish and feeding them. Our biggest complaint was that the houses were not prepared for our arrival temperature wise. It took overnight to get to a comfortable temperature. It was controlled by Nest and should have been set back the day before or at least the morning of our arrival. It was during Sonoma heat wave. All in all, I would recommend this house for large groups that like to congregate together. ##### Mary D.
