"The food was horrible if you are not a fish eater you could go with out food. Warning the chicken curry is full of bones broken and sharp. Our complementary breakfast never came. they have 3 items on there dinner menu and you still have to wait 1.5 to 2 hours for it to arrive. When you go to check out they had no credit card machine so that added a layer of difficulty to the stay. "

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Sironko?
The best area to stay in Sironko is generally within Sironko Town itself, particularly around the main road that passes through the town.

Sironko Town is the administrative and commercial centre, offering the most developed infrastructure. The main road, often referred to as Mbale-Sironko Road, is where you'll find most guesthouses, local eateries, and small shops. This area provides the most convenient access to local transport and basic services.

For travellers interested in exploring the natural beauty of the region, especially those planning treks or visits to Mount Elgon National Park, staying in Sironko Town offers a practical base.
When is the best time to go to Sironko?
The best time to go to Sironko is during the dry seasons, which run from June to August and December to February.

These months offer more predictable weather with less rainfall, making it ideal for exploring the region's natural beauty. The roads are generally in better condition, and outdoor activities like hiking and visiting waterfalls are more enjoyable without the disruption of heavy downpours.

For travellers interested in trekking Mount Elgon, the dry season is particularly suitable. The trails are less muddy and slippery, providing a more comfortable and less challenging ascent. This period also offers clearer views from the mountain, which is a significant draw for adventure seekers.

If you're planning a trip focused on cultural experiences and local markets, the dry season still provides excellent conditions.
Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?
You can cancel your hotel reservation on Expedia, though it depends on the cancellation policy of your booking. Most bookings are refundable if canceled within 24-48 hours of the scheduled arrival. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. If free cancellation is available, you can cancel directly through your Expedia account by logging in, going to "My Trips", and selecting your reservation. To find flexible deals, filter your search by "Fully refundable property" for hotels in Sironko.
How much is the nightly rate at a Sironko hotel?
Prices for hotels in Sironko often vary, but you can find a great deal from CA $30 on Expedia. All sorts of factors affect price, such as the time of year or the days of the week you choose for your stay. Find the best deals by being flexible with your dates, and sort search results by "Price: low to high" for the cheapest rate.
