The Murray is a very good place to stay in Silver City. It’s a renovated historic property so the rooms are smaller but comfortable. It was quiet at night and located downtown with restaurants and shopping, We enjoyed our one night stay. The staff was very helpful.

Great location in the old "downtown" area - near many galleries and antique shops. The hotel is old but nicely restored with numerous historical photos in the hallways. Being an old building the rooms are somewhat small for 2 queen beds. Breakfast was standard self-serve and adequate. AC was an in room unit with a flex duct to the outside that worked well - no complaints. Staff were always helpful and friendly.

Breakfast was good. Only hot part was the standard waffle maker but boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal. Bed was comfortable and it was quiet. The hotel is not as well maintained as in years past. Not as charming as we remembered.

Was great location. Parking was easy. Had an elevator broken that was pretty inconvenient. Had to use the service elevator. The room was dated but nice. I think the hotel likes to keep a dated look. But it’s clean and well maintained.

It looked much better online. Super hot. Front desk gave my husband one room when we checked in. Had to go ask about the 2nd room. Rooms were very small. But the history of the hotel was visible and fun to read. Breakfast was great.

There is no parking, homeless people laying on benches. I did not feel safe at all. Air conditioning was horrible. A little window unit that was loud and didn't cool well. The bathroom had no place to put my makeup, so I had to put it in the sink. The bed was hard and the pillows were flat.

Enjoyed our stay, room was clean, swamp cooler was noisy but efficient - earplugs took care of that. Had my doggo with me- everyone was super nice, all the staff was so sweet, professional, and helpful which makes for a great long weekend getaway to visit friends. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone visiting Silver City! Cheers ~ Until next time 😊
