The main difference of the rest Chinese temples here are wishes and prayers people write down on a wooden hearts and hang on trees around. Looks amazing and you may take magnificent photos. The city view is another thing worth seeing.Also you will find a pond with hundreds of turtles 🐢 Take a metro to the station Airport East of Line 1 and then a taxi to 鳳凰山 (深圳). You need to take a 15-20 min walk up to the top, but it is definitely worth it! The furnishings are older and not up to date, but for the price of $50 US, I was satisfied. The service was acceptable for a 3 star hotel. The staff did not speak much English, but the counter staff did call their limited English manager who also spoke Cantonese, so I was very satisfied with her very courteous service. The only thing is that this hotel was not on the major road, but is set back about a long block on a side street, so it was hard to find. I had to walk back and forth for about 10 minutes asking for directions to this hotel from the locals who did not understand my elementary Mandarin. It would help if Hotels.com give the pinyin pronounciation for this hotel on their website so I could pronounce it to the locals. I would recommend this hotel to others for its low cost and value. I would also recommend Hotels.com do a better job to offer us a pinyin pronounciation to help facilitate us getting to the hotel by the taxi drivers. ##### Al ### 2/10 – Terrible #### Voyageur vérifié 17 juill. 2013 Points forts : Propreté, état et installations de l’hébergement et confort de la chambre. Points faibles : Service et personnel The hotel itself is ok but the description saying it is 10 mins to the ocean is truly misleading. Maybe it is 10 mins to the ocean. If you climb over a fence, hike over a mountain in search of a lovely view of container ships unloading in an industrial port. Beaches are nearby and most people read this as being near the beaches which it most certainly is not. It takes 45 mins to get there by bus. Everything else is good but if you are going for the beach be aware of this.
