"OK Lodge is just a name; what is is is a (nicely) extended and converted terraced house opposite a park; so now a few studio flats, with some common areas. Modern and clean but a couple of issues - like oven not even wired in; no table to eat off; and also whilst we booked for 3 adults and was confirmed; they called to say max was 2 adults & a child and would not refund the extra £50 for the 3rd adult (who couldn't now come of course) and I had to go through Expedia to get resolved. "Our stay was fine for the short time we were there as a place to lay our heads but for the price we paid I was a little disappointed. In all honesty The beds felt like a horse has broken them in, we have all woken up with sore backs today so definitely need adjusting (or even a mattress topper) the curtains were very thin so we were all woken up with the light first thing which was also frustrating as we wanted to make the most of the rest. "Amazing little hideway just within easy walking distance of West Malling, the hosts were super friendly and made us feel very comfortable on arrival, we purchased the firepit kit which was beautifully presented and included marshmallows and all your fire starting essentials, perfect for a quiet evening under the night skies. The Falstaff Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We got to the hotel early so that we could look around Canterbury. Parking at the hotel is via an App,(it was not like that last time we stayed), being Old it took us over half an hour to pay for the parking, bare that in mind if you are old and not OK with modern Apps and you don't have a smart phone the telephone numbers on the "Ringo notice board do not help with paying for parking", basically a nightmare. Hotel was fantastic, clean, bed was comfortable and the breakfast was amazing in the morning was great, continental or full English. At the end of the Car Park is a "Wetherspoons" so the evening meal was excellent:- 2 Fish, Chips and Peas, a Pint of Cider and a Brandy and coke £23.50 all in. All in all we had a lovely time at the Falstaff, Canterbury."
