Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Sharda?
The best areas to stay in Sharda are along the Neelum River, particularly near the Sharda University ruins.

This area is the main visitor hub, offering easy access to the river and the historic ruins. Hotels and guesthouses are typically found along the main road that runs parallel to the Neelum River, providing scenic views and a tranquil setting. It's a relatively compact area, making it easy to explore on foot.

For families, staying close to the Sharda University ruins is ideal. The open grounds around the ruins provide space for children to explore, and the river offers opportunities for gentle walks and enjoying nature. Many accommodations here offer family rooms and have gardens.

Couples often prefer the quieter guesthouses a little further from the very centre, still along the river. These spots offer more privacy and often have balconies with direct river views, superb for a relaxing retreat.
