The Space: This 2-bedroom, 2-story home in the community of Sea Ranch provides panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding countryside within a stylish timber-framed exterior. A unique community spanning thousands of acres, there’s so much to explore in and around the area. From winding coastal trails to hikes through the beautiful Redwoods, you can spend endless hours immersed in nature. Grab a bite to eat at one of many delicious local restaurants, serving up meals of a wide variety with a side of gorgeous coastal views. The charming city of Gualala is only a 6-minute drive north, where you can discover even more outdoor activities, shopping, and dining. Inside the home, you’ll love curling up on the comfortable living room sofa with your cup of coffee, taking in the scenery from the large, wall-to-wall picture windows. Stream your favorite movies or shows on the smart TV while you unwind before bedtime. Throw some wood on the fireplace to create a cozy atmosphere when the nights are a bit cooler. You’re steps away from the spacious kitchen, fully equipped with all black appliances, drip coffee maker, cookware, and dining ware. Enjoy homecooked meals at the dining room table with seating for 6, bathed in natural light. Despite the outdoors being visually accessible at all times indoors, you’ll undoubtedly want to spend more time outdoors taking in the fresh coastal air. The large deck features chaise lounge seating and a gas BBQ for relaxing days and nights under the expansive California sky. This home comfortably sleeps guests between 2 private bedrooms and a pull out couch. Bedroom #1 includes a California king size bed, deck access, and ensuite bathroom with a single vanity and shower/tub combo. Bedroom #2 includes a queen size bed, patio access, and ensuite bathroom with a single vanity and shower/tub combo. The home also includes a half bathroom. THINGS TO NOTE: • Stackable Washer and dryer in home. • Driveway parking is available for up to 2 vehicles. The Sea Ranch is a planned community with over 3,000 acres featuring: The Historic Sea Ranch Chapel, The Sea Ranch lodge (restaurant and shopping), a 50-mile trail system with 6 public beach access points, and three recreation centers with outdoor pools, locker rooms, half-basketball court, and tennis courts (amenities vary with each center) for guest use. The Sea Ranch facility reservations for tennis is available on the Sea Ranch Association website. The trails and beaches are open. The issues I have are with the communication (or lack of) with the management. They did not seem to want to give out information unless I specifically asked for it, which resulted in our having to leave a day early because of road work that they had neglected to tell us about. I'm not a fan of keyless entry as every time I have encountered it there have been problems, and this time was no exception. The door code they had given me did not work, and they had to try two more before we found one that did. But it only worked for a week, and then they had to give me yet another one. I also had to upload a photo of my passport before they would give me check-in instructions, which made me very uncomfortable as I had never dealt with them before and had no way of knowing whether it was a scam. I would gladly stay in this house again if it were under different management. One good thing though: they did offer to refund me for the unused last day of our stay, since it was their lack of communication which caused the problem. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and supplies. I loved that the house is close to the ocean so that we can walk along the coastline. A few things though: We got checked in at 4p. The house inside was cold. The instructions say to turn OFF the Central Heat, but there isn't one in this house to turn it on. We finally realized there was a space heater upstairs and on/off knobs in the bathrooms downstairs. There were small pieces of kindling to start a fire for that afternoon, however there wasn't any pieces of paper to start the kindling. We had to go to a store the next morning in Gualala for fire starter and kindling. Paying this amount nightly I really would have thought that these two items would have been stocked. Lastly the TV - How can anyone watch TV with it mounted to the wall! The four of us would have to move chairs in a row in front of the TV to see it! The TV mounted to the wall needs to be replaced with a swivel so that you (we) can sit on the sofa and be comfortable. ##### Ed & Kathy T.
