A single-level home at the north end of Sea Ranch, beside the Golf Links, with a hot tub on the deck, a wood-burning fireplace with firewood provided, and a distant ocean view from the living room and primary bedroom. Two queen bedrooms sleep 4, with 2 full baths, and two dogs are welcome. Gualala's market is about 1.25 miles north.



The Space:

The green you'll see from the windows is the Sea Ranch Golf Links, with a meadow in between. Whispering Wave sits on one level at the north end of Sea Ranch, where the community meets the Gualala River, and from the living room and the primary bedroom the ocean shows as a distant line past the fairways.



You'll come in to an open kitchen and dining room that flows into the living room, where a wood-burning fireplace waits with firewood from the woodshed by the driveway. Big windows face the meadow side. The primary bedroom opens into an adjoining bath; a second full bath serves the other queen room and the rest of the house.



The back deck holds the hot tub and a set of outdoor chairs, looking over the meadow toward the course. It's a quiet spot in the evening, and the dogs can stretch out on the deck while you soak.



KITCHEN & DINING

You'll cook with a dishwasher, range and oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and blender, and eat at the table in the same open room. A washer and dryer are in the house for muddy-paw days.

Whispering Wave sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms, with 2 full baths, all on one level.

GETTING IN

Two cars fit in the driveway; there's no garage for guests. The entry code arrives by text before you do. Everything is on one level, no stairs, which makes the house an easy one for grandparents and dogs alike. The woodshed with your firewood is beside the driveway.



OUT THE DOOR

Gualala Point Regional Park and the coast are about 1/2 mile, with a bluff path, picnic tables, and a view back down the whole length of Sea Ranch. Del Mar's heated pool is about 1 mile. Gualala's market, restaurants, and the Gualala Arts Center are about 1.25 miles north on Highway 1. The Sea Ranch Lodge and Shell Beach are about 4.2 miles south, and Ohlson about 5.6 miles.

After sunset the fairways fade and the meadow goes still. Light the fire, or take the hot tub, and let the north end be as quiet as it sounds.



Guest Access:

The whole single-level house is yours, with the deck and the hot tub. Two cars fit in the driveway, and the entry code we send before arrival opens the door. Up to 2 dogs are welcome. The Sea Ranch recreation pass comes with the stay, so Del Mar's pool and the other rec centers are open to you.



The Neighborhood:

This is the north end of The Sea Ranch, beside the Sea Ranch Golf Links and a short drive from the Gualala River. Gualala Point Regional Park and the coast are about 1/2 mile. The Del Mar recreation center, with a heated pool, sauna, and courts, is about 1 mile. Gualala's market, restaurants, and the Gualala Arts Center are about 1.25 miles north on Highway 1. The Sea Ranch Lodge and Shell Beach are about 4.2 miles south along the coast, and the Ohlson recreation center about 5.6 miles. Golf at the Links is optional and paid.



Getting Around:

From San Francisco, allow about 2.5 hours: Highway 101 north, then Highway 1 to the north end of Sea Ranch. Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport in Santa Rosa is about an hour and a half away. Gualala is close enough for a quick grocery run, but it's a drive, not a walk.



Other Things to Note:

Firewood for the fireplace is in the woodshed by the driveway. Forced air handles the rest of the heat.



The golf course is a view, not an amenity. Rounds are optional and paid.



Two smart TVs, one in the living room and one in the primary bedroom, run on your own streaming accounts.



Up to 2 dogs are welcome. The Sea Ranch asks that dogs stay leashed on the trails and in the meadows; this is deer and quail country.



Del Mar is the close pool, about 1 mile, and it's shared with the community.



The coast is about 1/2 mile, which is why the ocean view from the house is a distant one. Gualala Point is the easy lookout.



Exterior lights at Sea Ranch stay minimal. Bring a flashlight for the driveway.



Cell coverage flickers up here. The house WiFi is what to rely on.



Summer mornings can sit in fog even when Gualala, just up the road, is already sunny.
