"The location was excellent for accessing the older part of Porto. We were near the river, close to "the best church," Not far from the beautiful church & tower and the train station. There are many wonderful restaurants int the area, and a nice place around the corner to get a taste of Fado music and history. Lots of street musicians day and night. We were grateful that a Fernando stayed a little after 6 p.m., because we hadn't received access instructions. I found them the next day in my email. He was helpful and carried a couple of our bags up the 4 flights of stairs to our room. There is no elevator in the very old building, but the room was nice and also had a small kitchenette. We had a narrow balcony on two sides of our corner room. Sadly, a major downside is the echoing traffic tunnel literally next door. It was incredibly noisy with ambulances, trucks, busses and revving cars and motorcycles till early in the morning. It was relatively quiet from about 2 am to 8 am before it started again. We were gone much of each day after a delicious breakfast in their cafe as part of our B&B experience. We stayed for 3 nights and got lots of exercise with the stairs. It was a pretty good place to be all in all."

"Wonderful stay at Lenscape. As soon as you walk in you receive five star treatment. Stunning pool, jacuzzi, views, classy touches and great breakfast too. Staff couldn't do more for you, all excellent. Perfect for a couples break away from a toddler and pregnant in the third trimester! It's tranquillity in the heart of the city."
