The house is so beautiful, our room so comfortable. The breakfast are amazing. The location is wonderful with the park right across the street and the local shuttle bus stops basically right in front of the house. So convenient. As wonderful as the house is, my favorite part of our stay was our hostess. She had the opportunity to join us at breakfast and was so interesting to talk to. We loved our visit to Savannah and our stay at The Confederate house. River Street is about a mile away, so either a scenic walk or a quick trip on the free trolley will get you all around this enchanting town. Colleen, the owner, is charming and an excellent conversationalist. We met lovely guests and had relaxing breakfasts each morning, swapping stories and learning about the history of the area. We just loved this B&B. Colleen is also a great baker and cook--we were absolutely stuffed each morning, but found it hard to resist some of her freshly baked cakes set out for the guests to enjoy. Other rooms may be quieter. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully served. Loved chatting with our hostess/owner. Coffee, cake and candy served in our guest lobby upstairs. There is no handicap access and the stairs are a bit steep.
