If you're looking for a luxury Northwoods getaway for your family or even a corporate event this house has it all. There truly is something for everyone at this this beautiful, luxury home located on one of Wisconsin's premier destination lakes - Long Lake right in the back yard. In the front yard sits hole number one of Butternut Hills Golf Course. Butternut Hills is a public course and features fabulous rolling fairways and challenging greens. Butternut Hills also has a bar and restaurant that is open year-round just a short walk from the front door of this home. About the only way to describe this home we call "Golf Road Lake House" is "Spectacular". Did we mention that there is plenty of room for the whole family? This palace features 9407 ft. of high-end living space including multiple living rooms, 9 bedrooms with 9.5 bathrooms, multiple kitchens and all of it is professionally decorated. The home was completely remodeled in 2008 and is perfectly positioned on a large sloping lot to capture amazing panoramic views from almost all the rooms in the home. Enjoy the warm summer breezes on a wrap-around deck offering great privacy and stunning undeveloped lake views as well as comfortable patio furniture. If cooking is your thing, this is the house for you. The well-equipped chef's kitchen features high end appliances, tons of counter top space, and it even has refrigerated drawers in the island and an additional wine fridge. Season your steaks and head on out to the gas grill on the deck where you can watch eagles soar over the lake as your steaks sizzle and your kids play in the large lawn below. This home is well suited for multiple family groups with plenty of room to spread out. It even has a additional separate but connected bunkhouse and additional kitchen above the garage that is tastefully decorated in North Woods decor. The main floor has a large office for those of you on a work vacation and a large mudroom with a washer and dryer. Bedroom Configurations: Main Floor Master: King with oversized on suite, large soaking tub, stand up shower, double sided fireplace, tv Bunkhouse above 4 car garage: classic lodge design completely open including beds, tv with sitting area, small stocked kitchen (stove, sink, fridge, cooking/eating dishes) dining, 3 queens, upper reading/conversation loft (decoration toddler bed?) full bath with shower only - NOTE - water is turned off to the bunk house bathroom during winter months but the other 8 bathrooms are available. You may use the Bunkhouse in the winter for sleeping but the water runs through the garage and needs to be drained to avoid freezing. Walk out lower level- Bedroom 1: 2 queen beds, full bathroom with stand-up shower. (No windows) Bedroom 2: Mother-in-law suite, queen bed, sitting area, full kitchenette, full bath, walk out entrance to outside patio lakeside. Second level: Family room, electric fireplace, small bar with sink, Queen Bed (circle room with full bath) Queen Bed (Pink, full bath with jacuzzi) King Bed (Golf room with crib in closet, full bath) King Bed (flower room, full bath) Third floor: Kitchenette, shared full bath Full couch pull out Fourth level: Queen Bed no bath Take an easy stroll down to the water's edge where a large beach area with a sandy lake bottom awaits. The home also features a private dock where guests can bring their boat and leave it at the dock for their entire stay or we can recommend places to rent a pontoon to explore the lake during your stay. A golf cart in the garage is available for guests to transport coolers and gear to and from the dock area. Long Lake is a large lake - in fact is it over 19 miles long from one end to the other with depths of up to 70 feet and much of the shoreline is undeveloped. Long Lake is known regionally as the Walleye Capital of Wisconsin. It offers boaters 6 boat-up bar restaurants and 99 miles of shoreline to explore. Long Lake also has some great sandbars where on a summer day you will find boaters hanging in knee deep water and enjoying the sunshine and swimming. There are also several marinas on the lake that sell gas and bait. The Birchwood area is also known for its great ATV/Snowmobiling trails. From this area you can explore hundreds of miles of connecting trails. What do you do on a rainy day? While you could hold up in the downstairs bar and play pool or venture out and explore the area. Within a 30-minute drive or less you can visit the communities of Rice Lake, Birchwood, Spooner, Hayward, and Shell Lake. Each of these communities has interesting and unique shopping opportunities as well as supermarkets, churches, theaters, roller rinks and bowling. Looking to host a corporate retreat or getaway? The home was very clean and it had everything we needed. We especially loved the clean lake and being right next to the golf course. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe for walks. A couple of things to note. There are lots of steps in the home and the both bedrooms in the basement do not have windows. Also it is a steep walk down to the lake but having the golf cart available to use worked well! We would highly recommend this beautiful home! ##### Ann B. With the 9 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms everyone was able to find suitable sleeping arrangements. Multiple kitchens provided enough cupboard and refrigerator space for food and beverages for a week. The swimming area was great for the kids, and a nearby sandbar provided another option. We rented a pontoon, kayak and paddle board from nearby vendors for additional options. The fish weren't biting while we were there but that's not within the control of the owner. Be aware there are lots of stairs in the house and it's a steep hill down to the lake, so if you have bad knees it's probably not the right choice for you. ##### MARY B. Our group have gone on several trips and we all agree that this property was the best we've stayed in so far. We had 2 boats docked during our stay that we took for several fishing and tubing trips. While there is no "beach" per say, the dock opens up nicely to open water for the kids to play. I would recommend you bring a larger inflatable if you wish to spend time on the dock as with a larger group, the dock is a tight space. As for the home itself, it was large enough to accommodate our group. Enough bedrooms for the kids and each of the families, as well as a large kitchen and plenty of fridge space. Overall the property was clean, new and had enough amenities to keep us entertained for our stay. ##### Eric C. There was plenty of room for all 17 people to spread out and enjoy! All of the bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely. We were sad that the table only sat 10 so we couldn’t all have meals together. There is extra seating in the kitchen and on the deck. The golf course across the road is wonderful and several of our group spent a few days there! We rented two pontoon boats and were out fishing everyday. Unfortunately not much luck but lots of fun. There is no sandy beach area so no need for beach toys but the dock area has a great sandy bottom that is good for younger kids to play. It is a steep walk to the lake from the house and the older people were thankful for the golf cart that was provided. A beautiful location to spend some time together! ##### cindy c.
