Location is great to see the sunset. There is beautiful balcony and we spent wonderful time outside. But Hotel staffs are rude and one of them told me it is not toilet when I ask for the toilet paper because there was no paper from the beginning. I tried to be nice to them but I couldn’t stand it. There was not enough towels in the room. Shower, bed, blanket, everything was dated. Breakfast looked cheap and insufficient spoons.

The best of Santorini

This is the place to stay. I have been in Greece many times, but nothing compares to this place. I absolutely loved it. The owner - Spiridoula - is a fantastic person, and not because he has to do her job, she is genuinely friendly and caring, which is so rare these days. She was always there to help, arranged our trips, gave advises of places to visit, and even offered to exchange 500 EUR bill which I could not pay with anywhere. And yes. The Windmill is the place to be - if you can book it, book it. Though all rooms are super nice. I was not planning to go back to Santorini, but after this stay I would really like to go back.

Ottimo!

Camera con vista caldera, indimenticabile!fuori dalla porta tavolino e 2 sedie per godersi il panorama. La camera é piccola ma con armadio, frigo e lavandino. Bagno altrettanto piccolo, niente bidet, lavabo microscopico adatto per bambini, doccia con tenda..insomma camera così così ma vista da 10 e lode. Colazione completa. Consigliato!!!

Nice Owners & Amazing Sunset View from Your Room

We arrived very early to the villa during our stay at Golden Sunset. The owners allowed us to keep our luggage in storage until we could check in which gave us the opportunity to explore the island. My partner and I stayed for two nights and we loved the Golden Sunset. If you stay at this villa you will have a perfect spot to watch the sunset from every room in the villa. This villa has a bed and breakfast feeling since it is run by a husband and wife and has only 8 rooms available. The breakfast is included in the price and is very fresh and tasty. When we needed to change our US Dollars to Euros they were able to exchange our currency for us and they arranged for our transportation back to the airport at a cheaper price than if we arranged our own using Uber or Taxi services. We had to leave the villa at 5:00am to catch the first plane back to Athens to catch a direct flight back home. They made sure that one of their employees was up to help with our luggage and make sure we got into the Taxi safely and on time. My partner and I highly recommend this villa to anyone who wants to have a perfect view of the sunset from their own room. You will see hundreds of people on the Island lining up to get the best view of the sunset on the island, but you can relax, enjoy wine and watch it from the comfort of your own room. If we come back to Santorini we will stay with the Golden Sunset again.

The roof top on our room was incredible so we could see the sunset in a very special way. The owners were very nice and very helpful. We had problems getting our way to the hotel and as it was at night we were even worried. We would suggest to specify very clearly to the guests how to find the hotel.

Equipe de primeira e localização ideal

Equipe muito atenciosa e acomodações muito confortáveis. O quarto tinha uma pequena jacuzzi e era bem espaçoso e limpo. O café da manhã tinha poucas opções, mas era muito bom. Recomendo o iogurte, que é muito saboroso. A localização é sensacional, dá para ver o concorrido por do sol do próprio quarto. Recomendo!

Perfect stay

We spent a wonderful two nights at this lovely small hotel on the quiet side of Oia. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are well equipped and very comfortable. The view is to die for and there is a nice pool and a few restaurants just a few steps away. We loved evey minute and would definitely return!

Good value for basic accommodations & great view

Locale was beautiful and an oasis of quiet amidst August crowds in Oia. The owner was very gracious, welcoming and helpful, but other staff were distracted. Rooms were spacious and included a small kitchenette but were otherwise very basic, had a musky odor, and uncomfortable beds. The balcony was certainly the crown jewel of the hotel and was ideal for watching the sunset or otherwise looking over the island and caldera. That said, the furniture needed a good washing as they had a heavy layer of dust/ash. Beyond a passable breakfast each morning, the hotel offers no other meal/beverage service but other hotels do near by as well as aconvenient mini-market. In sum, a nice and affordable place to watch the sunset and use as a base for exploring the island as long as you understand it will have basic rooms and limited service.

Perfect location for gorgeous sunset views

Check in: Smooth process as they were expecting me. Key was ready and I was personally shown to my room. Even gave me a map of Santorini without my asking. Location: No cars can get to this hotel, but a about 2 minutes walk from the Kyklos Parking lot. The hotel is located at the end of Oia, so there is really nothing blocking your view of the sunsets. From my terrace, I was looking down at Ammoudi Bay and across to Thirassia. It's a less than a minute walk to a market. And there are restaurants behind and next the hotel (not affiliated with the hotel). Otherwise, you've got all the restaurants closer to the more central part of Oia. For swimming, you would have to walk down to Ammoudi Bay and over to the left around the bend. Probably about 20 minutes walk down the stairs and th path. Follow the crowd, I guess. Although I only went very early in the morning and I was the only one there. Great for pictures. Accommodations: I had #1 which had 2 twin beds in the roomy living room, a queen bed in the bedroom, a large bathroom, a walk in shower, and a small kitchen with refrigerator, coffee maker, plates, cups, utensils, etc. just no stove. The bed was fine and the sheets were nice and clean. Outside, I had a large terrace with 2 lounge chairs and a table with 2 chairs under and umbrella and a couch. You also have a place to dry your clothes outside. Customer Service: Very helpful and nice. Very accommodating.

非常好的地點，看夕陽無話可說，不必像別人還要趕到Oia排隊等看Sunset,來回最少節省兩個小時以上的時間，在自己家門口就可以泡杯咖啡弄些小點，悠閒的看著太陽下山，來Santorini唯一的目的，免費早餐也不錯，住宿環境不要期待太高，畢竟不是五星級的飯店，開車者的免費停車場也很近約兩分鐘路程，唯一要挑的是Wifi房間裏收不到，但是站到門口就沒問題了.

Best place in Oia

Amazing little cave room that felt so cozy. I loved sitting out on the balcony which was closed off from the sides, but had a walking path in front so it still felt very private. The location is prime for sunset viewing though you have to step off the balcony and look to the side to see it - which is not a big deal because there are hundreds of people cramming all around the area to see the sunset and you still get this private space. The location is also very close to everything in Oia, but it's on the edge so you have quiet and privacy to enjoy this beautiful place

Best Villas sunset view in Oia

We love our room so much and we miss the time so much to enjoy the brilliant sunset view from our balcony. Because We are in honeymoon, the host so kind to let us upgrade to the best windmill room when the the room are available. But we choose to stay in family room. It is AWESOME too. The speed that staff email back is so fast, and they provide us many good suggestion such as which car company we can refer or the certain restaurant location. Thanks Golden Sunset Villas again, we are really enjoy our stay here. It is our best hotel with amazing sunset experience in Greece. Only one suggestion is that it is better to give one more new shower gel and shampoo gel in the second day, I do not know that is the staff forget to give or something... They will clean the room when you have breakfast.

Gorgeous view, quiet, postcard perfect.

This hotel fulfilled all of our dreams. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms for family of four in the cave! Perfect sunset view with no one to stand in front and block the view. Felt privileged to have private viewing. Will definitely return to Golden Sunset. This hotel is in all the postcards.

Amazing experience staying in the Windmill

We are a family of 4 and stayed in The Windmill in July. The location is amazing and you get a front row view of the sunset from the huge Terrace. The views in all directions - daytime and evening are spectacular. The Windmill is quirky inside as you would expect and the stairs are REALLY steep. Everything was spotlessly clean and nothing was too much trouble for the hotel staff.... including carrying luggage up and down paths/ steps etc. Breakfast was served on a small terrace again with a magnificent view overlooking the sea and coffees etc were all to order which was nice. The experience of staying here was amazing and will never be forgotten.....you are constantly reminded too as 'your windmill' is on loads of photos/ calendars of Santorini and the Greek Islands. Providing you are not expecting 5 stay luxury inside - you will not be disappointed. We hope to return one day!

酒店房间一般，早晨品种也不算丰富。这么贵的房价只是为了伊亚的日落美景，不用去观景台挤，在房间门口就能看到第一线的日落景色。

Not worth paying for the view

The hotel has a good location with superb ocean view however there's lack of security control as those non hotel guests are able to climb over the gate to enter the hotel and watch the sunset together with the hotel guests. If non hotel guests are able to enjoy the same sunset view at the hotel, it is not worth to pay so much for the location. If i visit santorini again, i will choose another hotel with lower price but climb into the hotel to enjoy the sunset view as how others did. Be smart and dont pay for expensive hotel stay.
