This place is absolutely perfect, all around. Not a single bad thing to say. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing resort slightly off the beaten path, this is your spot. If you’re looking for a crowd or a party- go elsewhere!

We had a wonderful stay at Avaton Resort & Spa. The views from the hotel are absolutely magnificent, especially during sunset. Watching the sun go down over the caldera was one of the highlights of our trip. The location is also excellent, with beautiful walking paths nearby and within walking distance of Skaros Rock, making it easy to enjoy some of the most scenic hikes in Santorini. The staff was attentive, friendly, and always willing to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We truly appreciated their hospitality and professionalism. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely stay here again on a future visit to Santorini. Highly recommended!

Our stay at Avaton Resort and Spa was absolutely amazing, and the hospitality truly made our trip special. From the moment we arrived, the front desk gentleman went completely above and beyond for us. He was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely cared about making sure we had the best experience possible. No matter what we needed — recommendations, assistance, or help coordinating things during our stay — he handled everything with such professionalism and warmth. The resort itself was beautiful, relaxing, and very well maintained. The atmosphere was peaceful, the rooms were comfortable, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. What stood out most was the exceptional customer service. It’s rare to meet someone who puts so much effort into making guests feel cared for, and we truly appreciated everything he did for us during our stay. We would absolutely recommend Avaton Resort and Spa to anyone visiting Santorini and would happily stay here again in the future.

Amazing location, staff and property with views. In somewhere slightly quieter than fira or oia, this is perfect escape the crowds without being too far from anything. The staff are over the top attentive and will help with any request, absolutely brilliant. Among the best places ive ever stayed.

Treat yourself to an amazing vacation at Avaton!

Staying at the Avaton Tesort and Spa has been the greatest treat so far. Not only were there beautiful views and rooms but the accommodations were nothing short of luxury. We received a great breakfast and good coffee every morning and had access to their wonderful spa facilities. To top it all off Efthimis and Xrisoula were both amazing receptionists! They made our stay exceptional.

Our 5 night stay at The Avaton was wonderful! The staff did everything they could to make it as amazing as possible for us from the moment we arrived. We had an upgraded room and excellent service throughout our stay. They organised restaurant bookings for us and the couples massage was the best treatment we have ever had! Convenient location for strolling into Fira of an evening, when it was cooler. Every was perfect! Thank you so so much 😊

We stayed in the Avaton Suite for our anniversary. Overall the hotel was great location lots of restaurants in the local area, hotel employees were very responsive and the room and the views from the balcony were beautiful. However, breakfast was atrocious, limited choice, have to order the night before and have to eat it in your room, the food is consistently cold upon arrival, meager portions (e.g. mini croissants and cocktail sausages instead of full sized items), multiple times was delivered at the wrong time, the sausage and bacon were very greasy and I suspect cooked in a dirty pan and one occasion I even found plastic in my food. The "restaurant" closes at 7pm apparently so we never tried it. The Indoor spa bathroom facilities often dirty and only cleaned once a day. No effort was made, when I had informed them it was our anniversary which was the reason for the stay, while I understand they are not obligated to do anything, it was disappointing and showed lack of attention to detail/hospitality. The hotel also run out of water/had the water shut off without warning, the morning we checked out so we were unable to use the bathroom or shower before our flight home which was very uncomfortable for a long journey. For those booking the Avaton suite, it is directly next door to the reception so zero privacy and can hear constant chatter from guests and staff. The room is beautiful but the overall experience was a let down and certainly poor value for money.

We had a wonderful stay at Avaton. The small size of the property allows for peaceful relaxation but also personalized service. It is at the Northern end of Imerovigli, so be prepared for some walking or transportation to get to areas like Fira or even the Southern part of Imerovigli, but we felt that was a small effort for the wonderful setting that the property provided. In addition, the breakfast served either on your terrace or in your room, at the time of your choosing, was a perfect way to start the day on Santorini. Would also highly recommend letting the property assist with arrival/departure transfers as that helped make our trip completely worry free.

Amazing staff who were there for our every need. Amazing location as well with a beautiful view of the caldera and Oia, easy access to the hike from Thera to Oia and middle location for easy access around the whole island while being away from the crowds.

Perfection! Private, classy, exceptional staff and location; I could go on and on. This hotel is located in the perfect spot for the best sunset view in santorini; highest point on the caldera but only 15/20 min walk down to the bars and clubs. We took a taxi home each night for 15 Euros. Thank you Bessy and all the staff who made our vacation one to remember.
