We chose the Carolina Lakes community because it was fairly close to the wedding venue and also because our middle daughter and husband live here. We were allowed an early check-in on Friday. Inside the house was clean and well-stocked with necessities. Inside, there is something of an unpleasant odor. To me, the house smelled of curry. Although there is a beautiful view of the lake from behind the house, it would be nicer if it were cleared of some of the trees like other neighboring houses. Inside the house was very nice, but the front could use some major landscaping work. None of these things adversely affected the enjoyment of our stay, however. Because of the wedding, we did not get to spend as much time at the house as perhaps we would have liked. Overall, it was a good experience. ##### Jeff P.
