Nestled near the Snowbird ski lifts, these Alta chalet condos offer guests the best ski-in/ski-out access to the slopes of Snowbird, a free shuttle ride and ski in access from Alta for advanced skiers, and a luxury vacation retreat for a memorable Alta-Snowbird vacation. The View #5 is a sunny and spacious 2 bedroom plus open loft, 3 bathroom vacation condo perfectly suited for families, friends or a workcation in the mountains – the master suite features a desk with unparalleled mountain views that will make you the envy of every zoom meeting or conference call! The living area is open plan with a large sofa and recliner perfectly placed around the fireplace and flatscreen TV with sweeping views of the Wasatch mountain peaks. This Snowbird condo also features a DVD player to enjoy your favorite movies. The kitchen is fully equipped to cater to all your cooking needs and the dining table seats all your guests to enjoy dining at home on vacation. This luxury Snowbird lodging comfortably accommodates a maximum of 6 guests in 2 guest bedrooms and an open loft sleeping area. All beds are furnished with high thread count linens. Alta is a short shuttle away. SUMMER: Easy access to hiking and biking. ALTA SHUTTLE: Alta Resort Shuttle runs mid-December to early April. Call our office for specific dates. PARKING: There is outdoor, uncovered parking for one vehicle per rental unit. Oversize vehicles must be parked off-site. NEARBY PROPERTIES: Palace de Pow, Village at Sugarplum #6 or Superior Point #2F. The View Condominiums are ski in/ski out to Snowbird - arguably the best ski in/ski out there is to Snowbird. You don't need to be an expert skier but, you do need to be an intermediate skier to be able to take advantage of this access. So, how do you ski to Snowbird? The View is located at the very end of Blackjack Road. The trail to Snowbird starts at the end of this road and is called the Condo Bypass on the Snowbird trail map. The Condo Bypass is a short run that joins up with the bottom of Whodunnit. From there it is a short distance to Peruvian Express, The Snowbird Center and Tram or you can continue downhill over to the Gad Valley (Gadzoom, Mid-Gad, and the Wilbere lifts). So...basically, you walk out the door to The View, take a right and put on your skis. To ski back to The View, follow Middle Chips Run to the intersection with Think Young, and Whodunnit (signed as: peruvian entrance to blackjack). Make a right hand turn here. Continue to follow the wide open slope as it soon funnels down to a cat track, past a slow sign. Continue on the cat track following Condo Access trail, not dropping into Whodunnit. You have made your way back to Blackjack Rd, and The View Condominiums. Alternatively, for advanced and expert Skiers, ski any terrain in the Upper Peruvian Gulch, staying skiers right at the Backdoor/Blackjack traverse gate. And how do you get to Alta? The Alta Resort Shuttle has a pick up spot right outside the door to the View Condominiums. This shuttle makes a continuous loop of the Bypass Road during daytime hours. The shuttle runs continuously during the day. It will typically take just a few minutes to get up to the Collins or Sunnyside base areas at Alta. After skiing, you can utilize this same shuttle to bring you back to the property or you can ski home from Alta via an off-piste advanced run. The Alta Resort Shuttle runs between mid December to early April only. Special Notes: As with any of the runs at Alta and Snowbird, access is based on the current conditions. Fully stocked and super clean. Beds snd furniture were comfortable. Amazing views of the mountains and great sunlight all day. Ski out was a very short, level walk and then a bit challenging to ski, especially when snow cover was limited, but Ski in was very easy. A severe snowstorm (29 inches!!) came during our last 2 days, which made for great skiing. The condo staff were great about clearing the snow every few hours, so that we could make our flight, which we really appreciated. We would love to be back at the View. ##### Ed C. One note - the upstairs bedroom which is listed as a queen bed is most definitely not a queen, more like a full/double. Easy access to Snow Bird, even for a boarder I was able to make it all the way down without unstrapping, just make sure you keep some speed. Easy to reach the ski back access as well. Host was great and got us set up with some nice firewood. The wifi was a little slow/finicky with streaming to the TV, but kind of expected at mountain resorts like this. Mar 19, 2017 #### Nice location! Our party of 6 people were able to stay comfortably in this 3 bed, 3 BR condo. Ski -n, ski-out required about 150 ft walk to the groomed connection to Snowbird. Alta was easy to access with the complimentary Alta shuttle. Very little wait was ever experienced when taking the shuttle to Alta. Condo was centrally located between the two resorts. Alta and the Shallow Shaft restaurant is about a 15 minute (3/4 mile) walk up the up hill if weather permits. The Alta Chalet staff were very responsive to any concern we had (clogged drain) and were extremely friendly and helpful throughout. ##### robert l.
