The service was spectacular. A gorgeous property with the best staff. Kind, funny, and so helpful. I can’t say enough great things about this place. The food was delicious and we were treated with such care. It’s a 10 star place in my opinion.

Real clean and friendly people. The room is vary spacious and our room was multi level. Highly recommend it. The guy at the front desk really goes out of his way to make your stay enjoyable and over the top.

Lovely property and staff who treat you like family - on the day we left, staff member set an alarm for himself to wake up early, call us a cab, make me a coffee, and grab us a small breakfast from the kitchen since we needed to leave so early (breakfast was at 8:30). We only stayed 2 nights and if longer I think we would have wanted access to a car. The restaurant on-site was excellent quality for dinner but on the pricier side. We ate there twice rather than paying for a cab to go elsewhere and it was absolutely delicious.

Wonderful welcoming. Gorgeous property like a chateau. Staff are very helpful especially David the Manager. One night stay wasn’t enough to enjoy this magical place. Rooms could use little update but did not bother our experience at all!

This hotel is a gem! Beautiful old villa with gardens and statuary. Tranquil and beautiful pool area. Staff are friendly and attentive. Informative regarding wine's especially Amarone and Valpolacellica. Highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful experience. My compliments to the staff - an all around pleasant experience. Even though I arrived late at night, I was warmly welcomed with a glass of Prosecco and a smile. Beautiful property!!!

Leisurely and relaxing atmosphere, enough to make me want to just hang around and read a book in one of the salons or inside the grounds, which are considerable are pretty well kept. Staff is very courteous and helpful. Will definitely go back.

Wonderful Setting with Great Accomodations
The Hotel Villa Giona is a touch of the way royalty experienced europe in days gone by. The staff is highly professional, the accommodations superior and the setting exquisite. This is a wonderful destination for a honeymoon or leisurely family trip Wineries and fine dining are so close by.

Sadly disappointing
Initial impression when we arrived was wow.......beautiful setting with immaculate gardens but unfortunately we became very disappointed. We paid extra for a suite and the room was lovely but a bit rustic with too many cobwebs & dead insects and sockets that didn’t work. The beds were very uncomfortable........my daughter as the third adult was given a broken camp-bed which was atrocious. No free Wi-Fi in the room as advertised but you got a little over at reception if you were lucky. Breakfast on a plus was nice and in the evening they have a wine bar with excellent staff. Am disappointed not to have left a better review but for the money we paid it didn’t really match 4* which you would expect from such a beautiful hotel.

Dear Susan, well we just can say that we also are disappointed that you weren't able to enjoy your stay the way we are used to for our guests. We read carefully, but there are some points that needs to be answered. We (and you as guest) are in the middle of a huge park surrounded by wineyards, olive oil trees, more than 100 years old holms and so on. As we are surrounded by nature, some of it is just part of it. The third bed given to your daughter was a new one which we just bought and it was a normal third bed. We apologiza,, but you could also have complaint the morning after. We would have changed it. We also had clients on the same bed before and after your arrival, and they didn't complain. Regarding the wi-fi, please read carefully our descprition. We never published or advertized that there is wi-fi in the rooms!! Only at the reception (and now we have fast wi-fi at the reception). So this part is to us not understandable nor acceptable. Regarding the sockets we had a problem over your last night, but we solved it as soon as we have been made aware of it. Loved our stay here. So authentic, and a romantic hotel. Can’t believe the wine served was from their own vineyard. It felt like we were in the heart of Italy. The rooms were spacious, clean and new. And the staff were lovely. Thank you for making our stay in Verona so special!!

Terrible service. The room was on the 4th floor and there was No elevator. Had to carry our own suitcases without assistance. WIFI only worked in the lobby and didn’t reach anywhere else. AC stopped working about an hour after check-in and it was 98 degrees outside. When we asked the front desk for it to either be fixed or to be transferred to another room we were told that no rooms are available and they tried to fix the AC but couldn’t, and we really shouldn’t complain because they tried... (as if it helped the situation). Upon check out didn’t even get an apology. STAY AWAY from this property!!!

Dear Mrs. Silver, I'm sorry but we disagree almost totally with your terrible experience. First of all, quite curious, our villa, which stands since 1504 (515 years ago), still today has only first and second floor. Never knew about a third nor a 4th floor!! Eventually built that night? We never also knew, nor write somewhere about a lift. Which we are not allowed to build as for a Villa that historical, it is forbidden. I personally offered my help for the suitcases but your husband refused saying he would do it on his own. The AC worked. We checked in the morning and found the clima nice. Clearly there was not 18° C in the room, more around the 24° C, but still enjoyable and fresh, considering the 35°/38° C outside. We also offered to change the room, but you just went away for your day without answering us at the reception. Then we tried to improve it with some more AC coolers directly in the room, but it wasn't enough for you. Actually we love to apologize when we make mistakes, because we are human. But in this case all of us felt quite mishandled without a reason. I think, personally, that you choose the wrong accomodation and were nervous because it was warm and the booked hotel didn't meet your expectations. Regarding the other clients that sould stay away, I think that seeing our quite good reviews, it might have been a wrong decision for you booking us, but we all learn from our mistakes. Last but not least the wifi. It is written clearly in all description that wlfi is available only at the reception. Now also in the main building and we are still working on it and we will improve. But it is not that easy as we have really thick walls. Thanks anyway for giving us the chance to clear all your points. Christian - Hotel Villa Giona

Idyllic retreat with top service
Villa Giona is a wonderful place to stay if you're looking for a quiet retreat in beautiful surroundings. Rooms are sold but spacious and well decorated, each with their own quirk. A big thanks to Christian and all those working at the hotel during our stay - very attentive and helpful. Can not recommend enough!

Christian and his staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The restaurant suggestions were extremely helpful. Breakfast every morning was fantastic. This is a unique and special place to stay especially if you want to visit the wineries in Valpolicella.

From pulling up to the property we were breathtaken. It is stunning, with fabulous service. We had a deluxe room that was very spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful view. There is a bar on the property offering an extensive drink menu and some food options. We will definitely return!

Incredible hotel about 20 mins from Verona Airport. We unwound in the sun in front of this beautiful villa before flying home. Very quiet and out in the sticks but close to a small town. The hotel itself doesn’t have a restaurant but we didn’t need to leave to find one. Rodrigo introduced us to some amazing local wines and simple good Italian food. So much character, great breakfast, excellent rooms, helpful enthusiastic staff, beautiful garden, infinity pool is perfect for cooling off, it feels like your own Villa when it’s quiet! I loved it and will be going back!!

Picturesque boutique hotel
Stunning location! It is very quiet. The wine shop wasn’t open- which we went there for, however the wine selection and service at the bar was very good. The bar closes at 10pm. There are things that could be improved, like for example, not charging to hire pool towels and being able to get a drink a lot closer to the pool, as the bar is far away. There also should be toilets closer to the pool. Also signs to make it clearer where to park and where not to drive, as it is confusing. It also says that breakfast is included and cooked to order, however you have to pay extra to have the cooked option. The area is lovely, stunning setting and very friendly bar service and the welcome drink is a nice touch soon. I would stay again. Perfect for a very chilled stay, with a picturesque setting, if you want an early night.
