La Casita de Abuela

This remodeled house is centrally located close to the airport, theaters, concert venues, and major roadways to the Island.

Old San Juan is just minutes away for your walk into history and unique little shops. Explore El Morro castle and touch the past.

El Coliseo is a short walk if planning to see Bad Bunny, Marc Anthony, Daddy Yankee, Farruco, Anuel, Festival de la Salsa or any number of events.

Plaza Las Americas Mall and The Mall of San Juan the T Mobile Center are just a short ride from this little house.

Uber and taxi service is available 24/7 at reasonable rates.

From here you can access any major roadway to travel north to old San Juan, south to Ponce, east to the rain forest or west to the Centro Ceremonial Parque Indígena de Caguana, or the surfing waves of Rincon.

This is an up and coming neighborhood near the financial district. La casita is on a residential street with some commercial activity during standard business hours. The house is very private, and fully air conditioned.

The home was adorable and exactly as pictured, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay.The location was perfect for me, as I was attending a week-long class at ISLA within walking distance. There’s even a neighborhood rooster who doubled as my backup alarm clock, making sure I was always on time! ;-)There are plenty of nearby restaurants, as well as a gym that offers a convenient 15 day pass. The train is also close by, making it easy to get around.Uber and Lyft rides to Condado and Old San Juan were very affordable and convenient.The neighbors and locals were incredibly friendly, adding to the overall experience. This is a great place to stay if you’re looking for an authentic Puerto Rico experience and an opportunity to practice your Spanish.I would absolutely stay here again.

Cozy Casita

All as was shown in the listing. Fully equipped kitchen. Plenty of teas and coffee from which to choose to start the day. Beds were comfortable. Felt safe. Area was well lit. Nice back patio area. Do need to bring your own soap, shampoo and conditioner.

Casita Is A Gem

The Casita was very comfortable. Having the beach chairs and towels available allowed us to pack lighter for our luggage. The washer and dryer meant we didn't need to pack a lot of clothes. The patio was spacious and comfortable. A nice spot for the evening meal. We enjoyed a few meals outside and also relaxed with a good book. We had a wonderful visit. Gil was very responsive and gave us some tips about the local area.

Clean, convenient and well equipped.

Location was great nearby train and bus stations. Nearby convenience store for any necessities. Host provided beach chairs, and towels which made getting out to the beach convenient without having to purchase things. Loved the back patio area and was very comfortable. Would stay again.

Winning in Puerto Rico

Better than advertised. Spacious, clean, affordable. We rented a car to explore the entire island during our stay. Easy access to main thoroughfares with a gas station less than a block away. 100% better than a hotel room and communication was easy. Gil's responses were timely, everything was in order. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. If you're looking for a 5-star place to call home while visiting Puerto Rico, this is it!

Great location…

It is a great place to stay…unfortunately, the water heater stopped working the first day and it was not a pleasant experience taking cold showers. We also experience some trouble with the electronic gate. Without these incidents, it would have been a superb stay.

Wonderful space to make a temporary home

We really enjoyed the layout of the space and the relaxed feeling! Spent a lot in back which was especially nice when it was raining! We were able to cook some great meals, sleep in, and get up early. Neighborhood felt safe late at night when were were driving in from a night out. Thanks!

Truly a Diamond in the Rough!

The Host is very amicable and friendly! Made suggestions and helped us navigate our visit. This location is very reasonably priced and close to pretty much everything, even if you have to hop in a Uber. Walking distance to the train and all the conveniences needed! Popeyes, CVS, etc. The Casita is cozy and reminded me of being in my tia Lulu's house but with all the modern upgrades! The Veranda is just perfect and spacious and a great place to have a morning cup of coffee where you will here a Rooster crowing nearby, putting a smile on your face as you know you are in PR! The Host, Mr. Rivera and his Casita is a perfect place to stay! I highly recommend it!!

Beautiful house!

Everything was clean and as it showed in the pictures! It was a quiet, relaxing home. I loved that it was close to everything we wanted to experience in San Juan. Communication with the host was easy, and they were very quick to respond to any questions I had.

Has everything you need!

The house is really welcoming spacious and it has everything your need for a stay away from home. Its location is very central as it has quick access to the freeway, food and other neighborhoods where you can find more restaurants and nightlife. We loved our house. Gil was an excellent hostess. She was also ale if I had any question. We had so much fun and we felt safe even though some of the houses in the neighborhood look not safe place. People are super nice around the property, neighbors. We will definitely be back. Gil has everything you need: beach chairs, towels, blankets, bags. Kitchen, air fryer, stove, cook wears, fridge so on. You will feel you are in your home. Laundry machines!!! You name it. I will recommend it to my friends and family to stay in this property. You will love it!!!

Great business trip stay!

The property was great. The 1st moment showed it all. They had a garage door that opened into a private parking place. They had pre-programmed that door and the entrance door. The stay went off without a problem. The home was well stocked and the covered outside patio was a dream. I am quite sure we will stay there again.

Stop Searching— STAY HERE!!

What a wonderful stay! The home was centrally located to all areas of the surrounding San Juan areas that we needed to get to. The home is beautiful, spacious, and had everything we needed for a week-long stay. The host, Gil, was attentive and responsive to the few questions we had. Will absolutely book here again. La casita muy cómoda .

La ubicación de la casita es buena, porque caes a todos lados. La limpieza es excelente A+ todo en su lugar y bien espaciosa por dentro, la decoración espectacular, los aires acondicionados funcionan muy bien y el agua con muy buena presión. Lo único que debo recomendarle al dueño para mejorar la estadía son dos cositas: poner televisor en el cuarto y en la sala, no creo que esto sea imposible y muy costoso, y una compañía de Internet mejor o mas capacidad. Pero en resumidas cuentas todo en la casita es perfecta, inteligente y segura. No se dejé llevar por el vecindario porque todo queda cerca y tiene mucha seguridad. Por lo menos nos sentimos bien seguros en la semana que estuvimos. Muchas gracias por todo.

wonderful place on wonderful Puerto Rico

A wonderful place. THe Casita has everything you need to rest after a busy day of beaching, hiking, or sightseeing. Place is modern and clean, new and clean bathroom, good internet (we watched movies on our laptop), good kitchen with a great coffeemaker, airconditiong to escape the heat from outside. Very safe setup with a keyed driveway gate. It comes with beach towels and beach chairs, a cloth drying line, and a hose in the patio to rinse off. Beds are very comfortable. Place it very strategic for daytrips to El Yunque, Arecibo, Old San Juan, and the northern beaches. One warning for future guests: there are some major potholes in the road. Please drive slowly, and around the potholes, to avoid damage to you bumpers.

Great location in business area, next to a gas station and main street. Clean with all the amenities except for washer and dryer. Gil always was in contact and responded immediately. Internet was sometimes problematic but apparently it is that way on the island.
