Just steps to the Beach and Bay! On the best courtyard in Mission Beach. It is the upstairs unit of a duplex. This vacation getaway has just been completely upgraded: new appliances, cabinets, quartz counter tops, hardwood floors, new windows, new furniture throughout. The main level includes a kitchen that is open to the living room and dining room, a deck off the living room, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and laundry. The open loft area upstairs includes a family room, bathroom, and a second deck (with a view to the ocean, and brand new furniture). One of the bedrooms has a king bed, two have queen beds, and one has queen over queen bunk beds. When you are not out enjoying one of the many restaurants that are within walking distance, you can enjoy a home-cooked meal in the beautiful new kitchen. The kitchen includes new stainless steel appliances (fridge with ice/water dispenser, gas range, dishwasher, and microwave). The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need, and includes an island/bar that seats three. The dining room table seats twelve. The living room has cushy seating, a gas fireplace, a 55" flat screen TV, and additional bench seating along the fireplace. There is even a built-in playhouse under the stairs, with toys, for the little ones. An outside shower is available, with hot water, to wash off beach sand before coming in. The laundry includes new, full-sized, washer and dryer. Amenities include Wifi, central air, 42" flat screen TVs in each bedroom, blow dryers, linens (towels, bedding, beach towels), shampoo, conditioner, and soap. The one car carport has the following dimensions: 36' 6" long, 7' wide, 7'3" high. Additional free parking is available about one block away in city-owned parking lot on Caramel Place. Bedroom Configuration: Master Bedroom- King Second Bedroom- Queen Third Bedroom- Queen over Queen bunk beds Fourth Bedroom- Queen Pack-n-Play Policies: No Smoking inside or out No pets Must be 30 years old to book Quiet groups, No parties or large gatherings-Our rental agreement includes a no tolerance policy regarding excessive noise, occupancy and/or parties. Our family of 8 found the unit perfect, two small kids, six adults. In spite of others having issues with parking we had no problem fitting a Kia large SUV while parking an additional car two blocks away. No problems with theft as it seems that San Diego has really cut down the homeless population in and around Mission Beach. We even fit two adult bikes in the bike closet after a little rearranging of beach chairs and stuff. The HOA rules are strict but we didn't have any problems. It was so well-suited for our group of 7 for a week-long stay. We were in walking distance of everything we needed. The beach was a 2 min walk. The bay was 1 min walk. All eating options were no more than 10-15 min walk. If you get groceries delivered, you really never have to get in your car! The sleeping arrangements worked great. It was nice to have 3 full baths as well. The rooftop deck provided a nice vantage point to see fireworks from multiple directions. The kitchen was well-stocked and we cooked several meals and lacked none of the essentials. The main room was a nice space for us all to gather in the cool temperatures. It was very nice to have plenty of beach chairs available to use because it's such a hassle to bring them. Finally, there are 2 tandem parking spaces to use. It was so nice to not have to hunt for parking on the street! As the listing indicates, the spots are small and the space is tight, but it beats the alternative! Quietly located within walking Distance of 2 beaches, a small park, and the old boardwalk.The newly refurbished dwelling is absolutely spotless and easily accomodates 6 adults and 3 children!! Such care was taken to provide children with a built in Play kitchen under the stairwell to the loft, with plenty of boxes labelef with toys! The home was nice, clean, beds comfortable, well stocked. We didn't initially realize it was on the second floor but it was fine. We were disappointed we didn't have a BBQ but we used a griddle that was provided. The location is perfect, about halfway between Mission & Pacific beaches.
