Designed for modern, urban living by award winning architect & developer Jonathan Segal, this offering features tall ceilings with oversized windows offering lots of natural light. Other features include a living room with courtyard views, SMART TV, kitchen, queen bed, A/C. 1 dog ok (unfortunately no cats) ; maximum occupancy 2\. (Notes: There is no washer/dryer or onsite parking. Loft ceiling is low, use caution when standing up). THE SPACE This is a quiet, private unit located in the rear above a garage. The main level entry door is on the ground level. Guests take a set of stairs (about 20 steps) to the main 2nd level living area…a light space filled with tons of natural light through the oversized patio glass doors. This area features a sofa, SMART TV, fully stocked kitchen with bar seating, accent chair, views out towards Downtown. A set of stairs will lead you to the upper level open bedroom loft (\*no door off this area), with views down to the living room & patio and queen bed. Rounding out the home is a full bath (tub/shower combo). PARKING There is no parking onsite (\*PLEASE NOTE the blue garage door shown in the photo is not connected to the unit). However, across the street is a paid parking lot & overnight street parking is permitted. THE PROJECT Kettner Row consists of 16 row homes built by aware winning architect & developer Jonathan Segal & is located on a beautiful tree lined street in the vibrant Little Italy neighborhood of Downtown San Diego. Head a few blocks south to the Gaslamp Quarter, San Diego's bustling downtown neighborhood with locally-owned eateries and lively nightlife venues. A food-lovers paradise! Easy walk to some of the best dining in all of San Diego! Waterfront Bar & Grill and the Brigantine is a great casual place for all ages. For upscale Italian, try Buon Apetito or Bencotto. Exceptions towards the maximum number of people allowed may be made for children under the age of 2\. Guest(s) agrees that more than the number of people stated on the reservation shall not occupy the premises. The number of guests includes visitors, even if they are not staying overnight. • NOISE | Our homes are intended for relaxing getaways. Music and other noise is to be kept at an appropriate level and in a manner that is mindful to neighbors. Noise that can be heard 50 feet away from the home is prohibited. Parties are not allowed. Wonderful location! There is no parking on site. Management refers you to a lot across the street but it is $10 per hour! This drastically changes the cost of a long weekend! We took our chances and parked on the street. Luckily, no issues. There was garbage at our front door the day we arrived. It grew and stayed there the entire 5 days. I called management twice, but they did not take care of the problem. Also, a homeless couple decided to visit the motor courtyard at the property. (The courtyard that we could not use.) They stayed for the afternoon. This site is in an ideal location but I am not sure I would stay here again. ##### Renee J. It was off an alley, so very quiet and relaxing. There is an issue with head space in the loft, but I was aware of that upfront. Being off an alley, it is very difficult to find. There is no signage until you are standing in front of the door, not visible from the alley. This was my 1st VRBO, one disappointing thing was there was no coffee! There were 2 packs of decaf but that was it. At other housing rentals I have stayed at there is usually coffee (you would have that in a hotel too), snacks (chips, cookies, granola bars, fruit gummies, microwave popcorn, etc.). The hosting fee is probably more than enough to at least offer coffee. ##### Therese M C. Don’t be fooled by pictures, ceiling is lower than it looks, you cannot stand in the bed area and stairs are cumbersome and noisy. We hit our heads a number of times. The location is the only good thing about this property. There are hotels in the same area that are less expensive and would have been more comfortable. ##### Barb L. I strongly advise against booking this property as it has a low roof, and the pictures shared by Surf Style are misleading. In my experience, the management team was unsupportive, and their customer service was rude, arrogant, and unhelpful. I regret that I am unable to provide a detailed account of my experience due to word count limitations. In short, I would caution anyone against booking this place or any other properties owned by Surf Style on VRBO. ##### Satpal S. The location of the property was perfect for anyone looking to explore Little Italy - and there is a lot to explore! The only downfall is parking - if you have a car - that's a pricey issue. There were a few little issues (ie: coffee pot malfunction, slow drains) - communicated with the property management team and received a quick response. It is compact - don't plan on doing a lot of cooking there - but you wouldn't want to anyway - lots of great restaurants within the vicinity! My overall 4 rating was based on the few little issues we ran into and cleanliness (cobwebs in the loft). Great place though! ##### Cyndi G. Little Italy has SO many amazing options, and the unit was clean and the staff was responsive and helpful to everything we needed!! The only negative thing was that I didn't realize how low the ceiling was, and it was a little tough to navigate with my 6'3" husband lol but we made it work :) I would still recommend 10/10!! ##### Voyageur vérifié Séjour de 4 nuits en mai 2023 ### 4/10 – Médiocre #### Huyen V. 16 mai 2023 Points faibles : Propreté #### Not ideal for long term/monthly stays The location was unbeatable and surf style had resolved a backed up shower in less than 24 hours. Unfortunately— two other water incidents occurred through faulty appliances causing for me to come home twice with water covering the kitchen floor and leaking from the AC unit. I had to immediately use the towels to soak up and had to pay for laundry services (since no washer/dryer in unit). I reported it and didn’t even get an offer to be reimbursed. I paid 3500k+ to stay one month so expected high quality homes and customer service. This place is just not ideal or functional for long term stays. The other con to my stay was the neighbors. The wall is thin so you can hear their music/tv (and bass) and sometimes late through the night. I had to buy ear plugs and used white noise to drown it out on most nights. I hated that as vrbos guests we had strict noise rules but the problem was the neighbors (who live there) instead. The respect was not reciprocated. Otherwise, everything else went well. ##### Huyen V.
