Pattaya Marriott Resort And Spa

10/10 Excellent

"All goood"

U Pattaya

8/10 Good

"This is a very nice resort but a couple of things weren’t strong enough for a 5 star rating - based on the price you pay here. For this price I expect the food to be high quality and the room to be very comfortable. The food was good, but not high quality. I ordered lunch twice and had bfast 3 days - there are no complaints overall but for the price, it was pretty average quality and quite pricey. The main problem with the room is the bed being too hard. I know it is a Thai thing to have hard beds but this is a top resort that has many overseas guests not used to such hard beds, and I expect far better quality. Also, the tv kept turning on during the night (no sound) which was a nuisance. The bathroom is good but the fittings are not particularly high quality. the shower goes from cold to super hot with only a short turn of the tap. The highlight was the jacuzzi on the deck but the water was just above warm which wasn’t perfect. A pleasant stay but i have stayed in higher quality hotels in Thailand for the price. The staff were excellent!"

Mövenpick Siam Hotel Na Jomtien Pattaya

10/10 Excellent

"Great place for family vacation. Amazing breakfast buffet, good size pool, lots of food options. Suggestion- they should provide drinking water in lobby or at reception. Chocolate hours should have coffee & tea. Add some Pasta options on menu, rather keeping it one."

ANDAZ PATTAYA JOMTIEN BEACH, BY HYATT

10/10 Excellent

"What an amazing hotel. I have nothing negative to say at all. It was a perfect stay. The rooms are amazing, the staff are wonderful and the amenities are brilliant. It was a perfect oasis in an otherwise busy trip through Thailand. The staff were so helpful and remembered small details about me and my preferences that really stood out. I ate at three out of the four restaurants there and while the steakhouse was a little pricey the quality and flavors were excellent. The Thai restaurant was phenomenal and was by far my best meal in Thailand in the 11 years I have been coming here. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any type of traveler whether it be couples, families or business travel. What a great hotel!"

The Standard Pattaya Na Jomtien

8/10 Good

"On arrival, the whole premises was a WOW to me. through the winding entrance, I was led to a spacious reception and everything was the standard of "The Standard". The staff members were very helpful, helping with all the questions I raised efficiently. The room was comfortable with a good view. The staff member in the air-conditioned restaurant was not quite responsive, and I chose to dine at the Mexican one, getting drenched into the sea breeze and the staff members were very responsive and interactive. I had a wonderful time in the restaurant. The breakfast was quite disappointing; I was the first one to attend the venue at around 0645, but most of the hot food was not heated up properly. The congee should be otherwise prepared warm enough but in the end, it was lukewarm."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Samaesan?

The best area to stay in Samaesan is generally around Samaesan Pier and the immediate coastline, offering convenient access to island hopping and local life.

This area is the heart of Samaesan. You'll find most of the guesthouses, local eateries, and dive shops concentrated along the main road leading to Samaesan Pier. It's a relaxed, coastal village with a focus on marine activities. The pier itself is the gateway to nearby islands like Koh Kham and Koh Samae San, which are popular for snorkelling and swimming.

Couples looking for a peaceful escape will appreciate the guesthouses and boutique resorts dotted along the coastline just a short drive from the pier. These often offer sea views and a more private setting, great for unwinding after a day of exploring the islands or enjoying the local seafood.

For solo travellers, staying close to Samaesan Pier is ideal. It provides easy access to tour operators for island excursions and a chance to experience the local community.

When is the best time to go to Samaesan?

The best time to visit Samaesan is during the dry, cool season, which typically runs from November to February.

During these months, you'll experience pleasant temperatures with less humidity and minimal rainfall, making it ideal for enjoying all the outdoor activities Samaesan has to offer. The skies are generally clear, great for diving, snorkelling, and island hopping.

For those looking to avoid larger crowds while still enjoying good weather, late February to early March can also be a good option. The peak season rush starts to subside, but the weather remains largely agreeable before the hotter months begin.

Couples often find this period particularly appealing for a relaxing getaway, as the calm seas and comfortable climate are great for romantic beach strolls and boat trips to nearby islands.
