The rural setting belied the fact that we were only minutes from the heart of downtown Salida, and we enjoyed being close to the river and all the activities it provided. The property will only be more desirable to some when the on-site wedding venue is operational. The host was accommodating to our particular needs and easy to communicate with. Plenty of space. Tony was friendly and helpful. The location was nice and quiet, pretty close to downtown, biking distance from S mountain trails, and walking distance to public fishing access on the river just below the house. It did get a bit warm in the house late evenings in July but cooled down overnight. We did see a mouse while we were there but no droppings or evidence that it had been in the house a long time. It was huge and had plenty of room for everyone. The master suite was beautiful and had incredible views. It was nice to be outside of town with great views.
