This home was recently built on a peaceful 10 acre parcel surrounded by cottonwoods, aspens and small creek. Beautiful views of Mt Shavano. A large wrap around porch allows for ample outdoor lounging and wildlife viewing. Enjoy walking the property, playing frisbee, corn hole or simply relaxing. The home is new with custom touches such as beetle kill tongue and groove inside and out. The cozy interior includes large vaulted ceilings and open living space. A Scandinavian propane stove provides ample ambiance and warmth after a day spent on the slopes. In floor heating throughout. Master bedroom has abundant light and attached bath. The loft includes built in cabin style lounging and sleeping with massive views of the mountains. 20 minutes to Monarch ski area and 15 minutes to downtown Salida. From the minute we laid eyes on it, we were struck by the attention to detail and welcoming feel of this cabin. The cabin was decorated very nicely and offered everything we could possibly need during our stay. Comfortable bedding, hot showers, upscale kitchen appliances, and fabulous wrap around porch with plenty of comfortable seating and hummingbird feeders for our simple entertainment. The location was secluded, yet very convenient to Salida. The home is situated on a large lot and beautifully nestled in nature. All you see around you are trees, mountains, and, quite often, a family of deer. Inside, everything is of top quality, with cozy heated floors, lovely bathrooms featuring high-end fixtures, a beautiful master bedroom with a well-organized walk-in closet, and a well-equipped kitchen, among other things. The tasteful decorations reflect the spirit of the local culture and the love the owners put into building and organizing this home. We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. We loved the location because it was private and quiet, but very close to town and everything Salida has to offer. The owners have thought of every detail to make you feel at home. My favorite is the wrap around porch with the mountain view and deer that frequented the property (so many hummingbirds this time of year too!). It was quiet and absolutely perfect.
