![From San Pedro Sula we hopped a short flight down to the island of Roatan.  Our original intention was to stay a few days and then head back to the mainland to see some of the other sites Honduras has to offer.

We got to West End and only left to catch our flight back to the States.  It was so low key, the water and sand amazing and our room with a porch and hammock with an ocean view was very affordable!

The scuba diving here was really good and cheap.  If you can't be bothered with that, at least bring your snorkel kit; it's nearly as good as the diving.

![East of the main road in West Bay Roatan, lives a treasure trove of beach bars and restaurants for every flavor.  The Argentinian Grill has a great Happy Hour (Hora Feliz) with amazing food and a beachy open air atmosphere which is perfect for people watching or taking in the spectacular West End Sunsets.  

Please note than in October (low/rainy season) many locals go on Holiday and some businesses close for the month(s).
