Lou Vachou - Rimeize

In the northern part of the Lozère department, between Aubrac and Margeride, the Lou Vachou vacation rental is a former family farmhouse whose foundations rest on enormous granite boulders. Tastefully renovated with charm and modern touches, Lou Vachou is a peaceful retreat where you can recharge your batteries. At its foot lies the rocky chaos of the Rouchat, through which flows the Rimeize River—a tributary of the Truyère well-known to anglers. Close to all shops and three kilometers from the Méridienne (A75) highway connecting Clermont-Ferrand to Béziers, you’ll have easy access to numerous cultural and recreational sites (the Lioran ski resort, the Garabit Viaduct and its many activities, a tree-top adventure course in the Margeride, the Millau Viaduct, the Pierre Soulage Museum...). Thanks to its central location, you can find yourself in the heart of the Margeride, surrounded by European bison, or among a pack of wolves in the Aubrac Regional Nature Park, a little further away, among all sorts of tiny creatures at the Cité des Insectes in Microplis within the Grands Causses Regional Nature Park, or suspended among the trees (Vallon du Villaret) in the Cévennes National Park. There are also many recreational and sporting activities available, including hiking and biking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing (Baraque des Bouviers), via ferrata, water sports centers, and canoeing... The cottage is a standalone unit with an adjoining private outdoor area and direct access to the river. On the garden level: A large room with a spa opening onto an outdoor relaxation area, TV, and a bathroom with a toilet. On the first floor: a large living room with a kitchenette and a terrace, 1 bedroom with a 160/200 bed, 1 separate toilet, and 1 bathroom. Upstairs: 2 bedrooms, each with 2 90/200 beds (that can be joined), 1 separate toilet, and a play area on the mezzanine. All 3 bedrooms have a TV. Ideal for vacations with family or friends. Pets are not allowed.
