Rethymnon is the capital of the prefecture of the same name. It lies between the other two large towns - Herakleion to the east (at a distance of 80 kms.) and Chania to the west (at a distance of 60 kms). Rethymno City is really close. Small but beautiful and authentic in every aspect, Rethymno will give you the chance to come close to the Cretan culture and make you realize why Cretan hospitality is so famous. One thing is for sure: you will be coming back to Rethymno. As a favorite local songwriter put it “Rethymno is not the city you go; it is the city you go back”. A car is recommended for your transportation. We can organize a transfer in order to come to the villa and the day after rental cars can be delivered at the property (extra charge). It is often extremely difficult (and sometimes impossible) for us to resolve difficulties properly unless we are promptly notified. In particular, complaints of a transient nature(example: electric power issues, warm water is out etc.) cannot possibly be investigated unless you will let us know as soon as possible whilst you are in residence. Also after staying in the property for 48 hours and we have not received any message or email from you about any broken facilities/amenities in the property, we will hold the guest responsible for any damages caused and must be paid or replaced by the guest on spot. 4\. Smoking is Not allowed in the properties so we request all of our guests not to smoke in the properties but to smoke outside on the exterior areas such us by swimming pools, balconies, verandas, patios or terrace 5\. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. Cleaning and linnen change is done every 3/4 days. In case you wish for the villa to be cleaned more often, it’s possible for an extra charge. 6\. Hot Tub: No children under the age of 5 permitted in hot tubs at any time without adult supervision. When using the hot tub, remember there is a certain health risk associated with this facility. Use at your own risk. Our housekeepers drain, sanitize, refill and replenish chemicals in all tubs prior to your arrival therefore it may not be warm until later that evening. 7\. Pool: The pool is not covered, built to the standards of the Greek Tourism Organization EOT. Parents have full responsibility for supervision of their minor children No children under the age of 12 permitted the pool at any time without adult supervision. When using the pool, remember there is a certain health risk associated with this facility. Use at your own risk. 8\. Fireplace: The fireplace is working with wood which will be provided. 9\. Tenants agree to respect the property. In case of any damage that will be made, the tenants will have to pay the cost on the spot and before leaving the villa 10\. The owner agrees to provide a clean home, cleaned just before the arrival of tenants. Cleaning is done by us, changing towels and bed linen is included in the price. 11\. Due to the location of the property, there are no fixed quiet hours regarding music. However, please note that general quiet hours do apply by law, therefore if a neighbor or authority requests that the music be turned off or lowered, guests are required to comply. 12\. Le lieu est exceptionnel ! Le seul bémol est la recommandation du loueur de voiture. En effet il n’a pas été précisé de faire attention aux cartes de paiement de la location et on a bien senti que c’était une mega arnaque qu’ils avaient l’habitude de pratiquer ! Il faut effectivement une carte de crédit et non une carte de débit. En France nous n’avons pas l’habitude de faire la différence. Résultat, au lieu de payer la location comme prévue au tarif de 1100e nous avons dû rajouter 1500e d’assurance … une belle Surprise !! ##### agathe g.
