Room and location of the hotel was excellent. Unfortunately the welcome was somewhat uninviting, with a list of things not to do. Threats of steep charges if you lost your plastic room key and additional charges if you wanted pool towels lowered the experience.

Rainbow beach family holiday

Amazing location. The front staff was lovely. The unit wasn’t really super clean and was in need of a good scrub. Remote for ensuite tv was broken. I would highly recommend to book on upper floors for the amazing view.

The unit was not what we would consider to be clean at all. Overall I would say it was tidy but lacked attention to a number of areas. In particular the upstairs terrace. It looked as though that area had not been swept or cleaned in quite some time. Almost half of the lights in the unit were either blown or not working, in particular in the Lounge and Kitchen area, the walls and windows in the Lounge area and stairs leading upstairs appeared to have been ignored in the cleaning process completely and floor did not appear to have been mopped with visible foot tracking through the main areas. In the wake of COVID we are especially conscious regarding overall cleanliness of our accommodation choices, which made this unit all the more disappointing. In addition, the entire unit was without any soap. We enquired at reception for some soap, however were advised they were currently waiting on a back order and offered us some extra Shampoo instead only to realise there wasn't any of that in the office either. She said housekeeping would drop some over in the morning which also did not happen. Given hygiene is currently more important than ever I wouldn't have thought it too much of a stretch for the resort to have purchased some from the local IGA to put into the rooms which we ended up having to do ourselves. We have contacted the resort directly with the same concerns to which we acknowledge that they have apologised and will address issues with their staff.

We enjoyed our stay at Plantation Resort, great location on the main street so close to the beach, surf club playgrounds. There are a few things in the apartment which could easily be improved - replace the old, lumpy mattresses pillows on the beds, provide hand soap for guests, and provide a new clothes air dryer which isn't rusted through.

Very Nice!

This is our 4th stay at the Plantation, the rooms were clean and tidy and very well kept given our last stay was 4 years ago. We had a family of 5 stay for 2 nights and everyone enjoyed the accommodation.
