Cabin had comfortable sectional and bed. Kitchen and appliances were super nice. Cabin was clean and views were amazing this time of year. Lori, host, was accessible and helpful when we had a question. We have plans to return next year.
The weather in August was perfect--75 to 80 during the day and mid 50's at night. Close to Red River and Taos for dining out and supplies.
I would definitely stay here again.
This place is amazing. This location set the bar really high for many reasons. I loved the stream sound, the pond was beautiful, it was quiet, way more stocked than i expected, and was very clean!!! This is my next location again!!
Cabin was so nice and it was so peaceful to sit on the porch and see the mountains in the distance and the pond just a few feet away. We could hear the stream running, definitely relaxing. Host was great, we wanted to have a fire in the fire pit and she made sure we had the wood we needed before we got back for the evening. Highly recommend this cabin!!
This property was well-maintained, and well-equipped. The host, Lori, was so helpful throughout our stay. She even dropped off a Christmas tree so that we could decorate for the holiday! The proximity to Red River, Taos, and Angel Fire makes this a great location for someone who wants easy access to multiple ski hills. If off-roading is your thing, you should check out the Cabresto Lake nearby via forest roads. Beautiful views, and very secluded. I would highly recommend this property!
The pond was awesome! Being able to fish everyday was so fun! The cabin was clean and the open floor concept great. Glad we brought fans with us. We needed them to keep cool. The cabin could use some updates, but overall, we had a great stay.
The cabin is great and spacious. Needs some small up keeping. Like light bulbs, sofa repair, stove handles replaced, etc. Otherwise we love the location and the owners.
The cabin was located in a weird spot directly behind a few house/ farm, but had a nice view of the mountains.. the pond has a view trout that you can see from the bank, makes it hard to catch them.. Cabin has a very small bathroom. No AC but fans and an easy to use heater. The beds were just okay but did get hot in the bedrooms at night. Every night woke up sweating but could be a personal problem and not a cabin problem. They have the cabin equipped with all the kitchen utensils and things needed. The cabin does need some up keep, some blinds were broke, water hose on the sink was broke, burnt out light bulbs, etc… cabin is located right between Taos(30minutes) and red river(20 minutes). Overall the cabin is okay for a weekend couple getaway unless you have a large group.
This was a cozy cabin. The pond and cabin were perfect for a much needed family vacation. It’s close enough to Red River, the fish hatchery and Taos for you to drive to the more crowded areas of the enchanted circle. The fishing was fun. The cabin had a nice living room kitchen and front porch. This place has everything you should expect for a comfortable mountain getaway.

This property and cabin was an amazing find, just north of Taos it was the perfect location. Great starry night, and a beautiful fire pit. I will definitely be staying here again!
The cabin is a nice place to stay if you are looking to hunt, fish, or play in the national forest. My kids enjoyed playing with the owners dogs that roam around the property. They provide a few fishing poles if you want to catch a few fish from their pond. Nice for catch and release. We would stay here again.
Beautiful cabin that shares a pond with another cabin (same property owner). Fire pit, wraparound porch, secluded driveway. Lori, the property owner is very responsive and prompt.
the craftsmanship of this cabin was phenomenal. went to do laundry and dryer was full of towels to be folded so we folded them!! other than that we enjoyed our stay.
