THE MANAGEMENT was absolutely awful, the kid at the front desk was the most unfriendly person I encountered in all of Costa Rica. The rest of the staff at the restaurant and bar were so kind, but the management and rooms were awful. The breakfast options are good and filling with various well priced dinners available. The hotel is located on quite a steep hill if walking but there is a local bus service every 20 minutes. The bedrooms are large but very outdated. Curtains were from the 70s , bedsheets wouldn’t stay on the bed as they were too big and pillows were lumpy. When we arrived the lady who registered us said “the boys behind the bar live getting people drunk”. Which was a turn off and gave me the creeps. The breakfast staff were great tho and so was the breakfast. .Pool was old and has tiles missing out of it. Pool chairs were made of PVC pipe. The best part about this place is the amount of monkeys that are in the property. Also they have a large dog on the property that has muzzle on him for the day. Which is a bit uncomfortable as well.
