Friendly staff, including front desk, and servers. Very clean, and well maintained property, both interior and exterior. Room was a vibe, and the complimentary cookies were a delightful surprise. The amenities & lounge was a bonus with a very cozy and welcoming feel. Last but not least, thank you for an early check-in!

Wonderful
We stayed one night while attending a wedding at the Drake Devonshire (which we’ve also stayed at a few times and love!). We wanted to try out the Motor Inn this time and it was fab. Our only regret was that we barely spent any time in the awesome room during our stay. Bed was super comfy, room was clean and we will definitely be back

Because I booked on Expedia none of the contactless check in process worked - this should be rectified. The mattress in the pull out bed was horrible - ended up putting it in the floor. Drake should do better.

I appreciated the effort put into making the Drake Motor Inn cool to look at in photos, it’s fun and kitschy to see. The room itself was quite basic. The bathrooms might have seemed like a good idea on paper but the glass door means you have no privacy and the door is open air at the top so all manner of sound and smell can be witnessed from the bedroom area. Some things should just be ideas-they don’t work for life. The experience down at Devonshire is probably far superior to the motor inn experience; there is no front desk there or staff to answer questions. The phone, tv and Wi-Fi were all non-functional so no way to call the front desk at the Devonshire to get help, and our phones didn’t get cell signal inside the room. The front desk at Devonshire never once answered our call live, we had to leave a message and wait for a return call. We even tried emailing them to get a response and the answers were delayed by a long wait. They finally told us the whole building was without internet services and there was no ETA. It looked as though it had been out for several days but no effort was made to tell us until we asked for it to be fixed. The room had a vast supply of minibar items including candy, drinks and wine but there was no price list to be found to determine what charges you’d find on your card afterward. Overall would never stay again or recommend for the price. (400/night)

Awesome! Even with our dog!
Room was lovely! We didnt feel like 2nd class citizens because we had our dog with us. They also accomodated us for dinner on the patio. Wonderful visit!

Great for a little getaway! Love the details with the Drake motor inn. They had a bonfire set up and they gave us a free s’mores kit which was really nice. Whenever we needed something, we would text the reception and they would get things to us speedily. Great for a friends giveaway.

Perfect spot for a getaway!
The room was beautifully decorated with a retro-chic aesthetic. Loved the coziness of the room and common area. Unfortunately, I took a star off for the king sized bed. It was too soft and there were noticeable indentations from prior use. This place is dog friendly if you’ve got a fur baby!

I liked the room but it was up the street not attached to restaurant. Food is great . You hear everything in rooms , late night partners beside us… we had to text at 2:00 in the am to get help! expensive rooms!

Cute motel in Prince Edward County. We went at the end of January and most of the businesses in the town were closed and the ones that were open closed early, so there isn't much to do after 8pm. I assume its more lively during the summer. Hotel staff did not accommodate an early check-in, nor did they call us when our room was ready. However, the room was clean and unique. One complaint is that the fan unit was exceptionally loud and ran all night. Overall, its a unique hotel in an county that doesn't have many options.

Great little spot but really pricey for what it is. A few snags that should be addressed too: no mention of check-in time in the comms that get sent; the self check-in app they make you download doesn’t work; A/C unit is so loud it wakes you up all night. In a muddy place like the County, also just need a doormat at the entrance of the room. Tiny things that add up to being a big nuisance when you’re on vacation.

Very convenient location, gorgeous room & great staff. I would have liked a kettle or coffee maker in the room as the coffee delivered to our building tho’ a nice touch was lukewarm even at 7am & no microwave to reheat it..

Very disappointing. Check-in was disastrous. There were no sheets and a dirty mattress cover on the pull out bed. The room itself was pleasant and clean but when spending almost $500 per night, you expect better.

Modern, funky design. Clean, comfortable. Minimal amenities as separate from the main Inn. Close (easy walking distance) to street, and local restaurants and the Devonshire Inn and lakefront. Like the complimentary coffee in the morning, wine glasses and corkscrew, mini-fridge. Decent value overall.

Amazing stay at the Drake! Rooms were impeccably clean, and well-appointed! Common areas were nicely designed, and coffee delivery outside each room door (yes, every day!) was a lovely touch. Filtered water/ice refill plus fridge in room, toiletries were lux. Midtown Brewery literally steps away! Make sure to make a reservation at Devonshire a minute walk away, the views of the lake were fabulous, and the property has many cool spaces to lounge after dinner (games room, fireplace inside and out, photo ops, art etc). Staff and service were great, and phone key also super convenient. Plan to drive to see a few things (wineries, Kinsip distillery artisanal chickens (!) check hours for everything as many things not open) many stores on the tiny Wellington strip were closed, but there is lovely Italian Cafe nearby. Also check out Lakeside Inn for outdoor drinks, food, and huge patio with firepits over lake live music. Amazing mini getaway and just what we needed!

The property was spotless. The bed and pillows were very cozy and comfortable. Felt like sleeping on a cloud. We were welcomed by friendly staff. Loved the popcorn and reusable water bottles the staff gave us. We would definitely return again!!

A must stay in Wellington!
My boyfriend and I had a great time staying here the room was beautiful. Loved that the hotel had there own skating rink and was so close to the water we really enjoyed ourselves! My favourite part of the room was the shower it was huge with a really cool rain shower with colour changing lights if you wanted. We will definitely be coming back and have already started telling friends and family to stay there!
