Such a lovingly restored, appointed and maintained house that has so much character. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and then some! We were walking distance to downtown. The space was comfortable and just the right size for two of us. We didn't spend much time there (we were out and about in Portland), but it suited our needs well. Convenient free parking spot is a plus as parking in Portland can be a challenge. Walking distance to Old Port section is less than a mile, but in returning the final stretch is uphill! Place is comfortable. Apartment is on second floor with mostly a street view, good neighborhood. Window air conditioning units in bedroom and living area can be noisy. Nicely restored older house converted to four ‘apartments’ upstairs with owners occupying first floor. Communication is excellent. As with re-purposed older houses, the bathroom shower was a small stand-up fiberglass unit tucked into a corner of the bathroom, functional at best. This is a good alternative to the very overpriced hotel rooms in the Old Port section during most of the year. ##### Richard S.
