Close To The Beach, Community Pool, Plenty of Room ~ The Shore House

The Shore House is a single family rental home ideal for a large group coming to enjoy the beach. Not only are the quiet shores of St. Joe Beach just across the street, there is also a community pool to take advantage of. Let’s talk about the outdoors because let’s face it, that’s probably why you’re visiting the area. Underneath this 3 bedroom home is an awesome grilling area with fans and plenty of seating for the entire group. There is also an enclosed outdoor shower for a quick rinse before entering the home. The ground floor is actually where you enter the home with a full bedroom and bath. Once you’re upstairs, there are two separate sitting areas, one just off of the kitchen with sleeper sofa and then a separate living room. There are two decks on both sides of the house. The gulf side deck offers a great view of the beach and comfortable seating. The back deck provides a view of the community pool. The Shore House sleeps 10 and with separate living areas and amazing outdoor space it can accommodate the whole group comfortably.

Awesome trip to Mexico Beach!

We absolutely loved this location. Everything was super clean and well laid out. With 3 adult couples, we had plenty of room and could be up in the mornings at different times without disturbing each other. Very close beach access. Plenty of parking. Lots of towels, kitchenware and seating. The only thing I would have liked to have had would be outdoor fans. Other than that, perfect!

The Shore House

The house was great! Had a few issues but overall great place. One issue the dishwasher needs to be fixed or replaced. There was construction going on across the street in front of the house which we didn’t know about. Unfortunately the view will soon be gone:( I would stay there again. Wonderful area of Florida.

Spent five days and had a enjoyable time.

Property is well prepared for a family but not infants. Make sure to bring a baby gate stroller and high chair as they aren’t provided and the nearest Walmart was like 30 minutes away. Only complaint we could make is dishwasher is outdated and doesn’t clean well.

It was a great vacation, the property was great we enjoyed our stay with our whole family and they had a real good experience. We will come back and look for this property again. The only negative was the flyswatter was in the utensil drawer we hung it up in the pantry and one suggestion would be an update to the grill and we had buy a grill in order to really cook our Seafood.

Great social distance vacation

We enjoyed our stay at The Shore House. The furnishings are comfortable. Decor is adorable. Kitchen well supplied. Perfect for our small family without fighting the crowds of a condo. I would have preferred beach side, but this house is situated with no house directly in front of it, so still A very nice beach view. Easy walk to beach. Beach is beautiful and not crowded ☺️ which was our main reason for choosing area. After this stay, I see return visits in our future to the area. We enjoyed exploring nearby Port St Joe and Apalachicola. Had an absolute blast with Bruce Aldridge guide service fishing for Triple Tail. Couple of things that might be worth considering: -Weird that I couldn’t find switches for the outside lights on the inside of the house- we had 2 strange incidents where: 1. One night our car alarmed and I couldn’t get outside lights on to check it. 2. The outside lights were turned on after we were in bed- (we didn’t find outside switch until next morning).

Michael came ashore 😢

We arrived on Saturday. Got to spend Sunday at the pool with the grandkids. The house was very comfortable and very well-kept. Then Michael came in 😢 ( Hurricane Michael ). Got a call from the rental company telling us that there was a hurricane going to make landfall by Wednesday and that on our side of the road it was a voluntary evacuation. We were not about to stay and ride out a hurricane. So we packed our bags and head home on Monday. 😢😢😢. After seeing all the damage that this Hurricane Michael made I’m glad we left.
