It was a fun beach place to stay on the Bolivar Peninsula, close to High Island and other great birding spots. You can see and hear the ocean and walk to it within five minutes. And within just a 10 minute drive (west) you'll reach nicer (but busier) beaches. The house was clean, well stocked and with one of the most comfortable beds in the primary bedroom that I have ever slept on. Check-in/out was very easy. We loved the views of the beach and ocean. The big patios provided a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the ocean views. It was so nice! Kitchen was fully stocked with cooking equipment and utensils. Anything else we needed was just a short walk or drive down the road. Loved that we could even drive on to the beach nearby. The only thing I wish I had done, was take my own bed pillows. They have pillows but they are very thin and flimsy. No support and not comfortable. Bed had some sand in it but we refreshed it in the laundry. And it was very comfy after long days prepping for a wedding. Our only regret is not being able to enjoy the amenities and beach.
