"Perfect stay. The room was huge, recently renovated, with super comfortable bed and pillows. The bathroom was also big, with spacious shower. You get access to the Bains, with the hotel providing with bathrobe and towels, and an underground tunnel to easily access the pools. The village of Charmey and the valley are beautiful, with a télécabine near the hotel, so the access for hikes and other activities (such as toboggans) was very easy. "The hotel is a nice, clean, comfy hotel. Very modern. Pictures are accurate as to what you see on line. The hotel is a bit outside the main centre and not much around it. However, it is a quick bus ride (less than 10 mins- take the 101 or 107 from the train station). The kitchen had everything we needed to make quick simple meals. Staff was friendly and helpful."

"Uniquely centered steps from the famous Catédral St. Nicholas... Museums, Dining, College St. Michel, historic / Medieval charm and absolutely one-of-its-kind architectural details. We started taking pix of the "Doors of Fribourg" and then "the Windows of Fribourg" as a lark. The breakfast was a bit expensive, but delicious and expansive. Frankly, a breakfast could serve one for two meals with good proteins, fruit, and delicious pastries of all kinds."

"Great breakfast. Dinner expensive. The hotel has been undergoing renovations since 2024 and there is still a fair bit to do. Because of scaffolding a lot of the balconies and windows are locked shut. There is no air conditioning. Luckily we changed to a room that had opening windows and balcony. The indoor spa areas were closed but the 2outdoor thermal pools were great.The hotel has lovely tall domed ceilings and will be fabulous once finished. A lot of the bedrooms still need decorating and I don’t think there are plans for air conditioning which could be a problem in the summer.We had a great couple of days but would check state of rooms and amenities before booking."
