Walking in the front door, you will encounter the airy two-story living/dining area with floor-to-ceiling glass sliders overlooking the dunes and ocean. The house underwent major interior and exterior renovations, all completed late spring 2019\. Come enjoy this spectacular beach home. With 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, spacious Sandy Toes is perfect for virtually any group. The gorgeous open kitchen is fully stocked with everything your vacationing chef could wish for. A full bath is located off the main hallway, with a convenient door allowing direct access to the back deck, hot tub and beach. Gather in the living room on the oversized comfy leather sectional, while enjoying cable or streaming programs on the over-sized flat-screen TV above the fireplace. Fun fact: every bedroom has its own wall-mounted flat-screen television! At Sandy Toes, we provide a gas grill, beach chairs, towels, ice chests and more to assure that you enjoy your vacation to the fullest. Sandy Toes now features four bedrooms with king beds, which makes it perfect for multiple couples. All of the beds have plush pillows, luxurious sheets, and thick memory-foam mattresses for added comfort. On the main floor, the spacious master bedroom has its own dedicated bathroom with a large shower. Also, we have the large sunken “bunk room” for the kids. It features a twin-over-double bunk bed with a pull-out trundle underneath, sleeping 4\. The huge flat-screen tv and cozy bean bag chairs are favorites. Upstairs there are three more king bedrooms: two on the ocean side with Atlantic views, a third overlooking the Guana Preserve, a nearly 80,000-acre wildlife reserve that beckons with a myriad of outdoor opportunities such as kayaking, hiking and biking. A full bathroom upstairs with a shower-tub combination completes the floor. Through the glass doors in the living room you will find a spacious deck nestled into the dune. Here you can work on your tan in one of our lounge chairs or enjoy lunch with the gang at one of the two outdoor tables. The house was very comfortable for all the indoor time. Only a few steps into the house which is nice when you are loaded with groceries or luggage. Very short walk to the beach. The enclosed side yard was wonderful for our dogs. And they had fun on the uncrowded beach as well when weather permitted. Lots to do in this area on rainy days. We did not do a great deal of cooking due to the inclement weather - not good for grilling. But my grandchildren taught me how to DoorDash and this is my new favorite recipe. lol If you like tacos, be sure to check out Osprey Tacos. The management was right on top of any needs we had - and they were few. The hospitality was exceptional. Trash bags, toilet paper, dish soap, laundry detergent, hand soap, towels for the beach and much more was provided. We have never before stayed in a house that furnished- all of those things. It was very clean inside and out! The house is stocked with everything you will need so you only need to bringing yourselves and fun (ok and maybe a little food). We checked out on time at 10am. I received an irate phone call from Daphne at 3:46pm. Daphne was irate, saying we broke the dining room table, the coffee table & the glitter wrapping paper we used for Christmas was all over the sofa and I needed to buy her a new one, and her housekeeper had to spend an extra hour cleaning the property. We stripped all the beds, did all the laundry, the dishes and took out the trash. Trash day was written on the refrigerator and it fell on Christmas, we did not receive any notice regarding a new trash day so we put trash out the next day. The day I bought a bunch of fresh flowers from Fresh Market, I came home & could not find 1 vase in the entire home, so I reached out via email, only to receive a snarky comment from Daphne “are you having a party?!” I was decorating for my family. We had issues with cleanliness when we checked in & as you can see a variety of different things. However, it was Christmas week and we were spending time at our families homes in the surrounding areas. After Daphne’s irate phone call, she was going to send me pictures, because I had no idea what she was talking about with all the broken furniture…she never did. However, it being Christmas & having 2 small children I had lots of photos of my family & the furniture. I reached out to VRBO with the situation and sent them all my photos. ##### Kirsten C. Sandy Toes was the perfect location for my husband’s long awaited 60th birthday reunion. The property was beautiful and well appointed. It was a short drive to restaurants and entertainment, but still far enough that it did not distract from friends and family just spending time to reconnect. The house had everything we needed and the 5 bedrooms were perfect place for down time. Our property manager was very attentive and made our stay even that much better. The weather was unexpectedly cold and extremely windy, but everything we needed to relax, enjoy our time, and keep the kids entertained was available. The gates for the stairs was a lifesaver! I would totally recommend this house to everyone, but would note that the living room has sharp corners and a lot of things displayed on low shelves that would make it stressful to parents of a young child that doesn't walk so well or can't stop touching things, but the downstairs kids room is perfect for all ages. ##### Sarah S.
