It was in a great location and a beautiful surrounding! The place has everything you need, although it's not the flashiest. Good for a simple night in a beautiful garden. The breakfast was decent, although again just the basics.

Reservation Scam

They cancelled our prepaid reservation that had been made 3 months in advance and confirmed three days, by email,before check in. Unpon arrival, suddenly there was no room for us. We were sent to the VIP hotel across town which was on a huge roundabout. We found out later it was also owned by Casa Do Jardim. Then because our room wasn’t ready we were told to come back later to check in. When we returned for check in , we were informed our reservation at the VIP hotel had also been canceled and now there were no rooms there either. Who does that? Our room was prepaid and no information was coming about where our money was or how to get a refund. Just - we can’t help you. Fortunately a senior staff overheard us as we complained uselessly to the staff at front desk and she took pity on us and gave us a room. We still had to pay again out of our own pocket but at least we weren’t stranded. How many people book the lovely, more expensive, boutique hotel in the botanical garden and are told they had been over booked upon arrival, and sent to the run down mega VIP hotel in a huge traffic circle? I bet lots. I call scam.

Giardino veramente splendido, camera piuttosto vecchia e con rumori per lo scricchiolio dei pavimenti al passaggio degli ospiti del piano di sopra. Colazione discreta, anche se una maggiore varietà fra un giorno e l'altro non guasterebbe. Personale molto gentile.

Awful hotel. No WiFi on rooms, only by front desk. No air conditioning or even Fans. Their ad shows a pool, however guests MAY NOT access it. We left and paid for another hotel it was THAT BAD. Rude staff as well

Hotel in the Middle of the Green

It is a nice hotel - the reception is open all the day. As it is situated in the middle of a garden you can walk though it whenever you want. The breakfast is good.

Fantastische ligging

De dame aan het onthaal was heel vriendelijk, het was net of we bij vrienden aankwamen. De ligging van de casa in die tuin is met geen woorden te beschrijven . Zo mooi, zo uniek, s morgens opstaan en in deze schitterende , perfect onderhouden tuin een wandeling maken. De geuren van de tuin en het gekwetter van de vele vogeltjes rondom je is een heel mooie ervaring. Dikke pluim voor het voltallige personeel die wat betreft vriendelijkheid uitblinkt.

Beautiful surroundings within a garden.

The accommodations are ok. Breakfast very convenient to be included. Not a huge variety but enough . Too bad it's a bit away from the center of the city.. The walkway out of the hotel is all cobblestones, but they are very uneven and anyone with a problem walking will definitely have a problem. Cockroaches are a problem, and they are the large large ones.

"Hotel confortável rodeado por um Jardim Botânico"

O Hotel Casa do Jardim insere-se num Jardim Botânico muito bonito, o que permite de imediato uma sensação de tranquilidade e paz, tão comum em toda a ilha. O quarto, apesar de pequeno, é suficiente e agradável, contudo existem quartos com o dobro do tamanho. A cama também é pequena para duas pessoas. Encontrava-se bem limpo com a exceção da casa de banho que poderia estar ainda melhor. Todos os dias faziam a limpeza e arrumação do quarto, contudo por vezes colocavam toalhas já com buracos e a desfiarem. Existe aquecedor no quarto sendo que a temperatura normal é bastante agradável e quando pedido secador de cabelo na receção deixaram-nos ficar com ele o resto da estadia. Poderia existir ainda um pequeno cofre para guardar alguns pertences. O pequeno almoço é agradável, apesar de não ser intercontinental como eles o chamam, tem sim dois tipos de pão fresco ou croissant ou bolo lêvedo consoante o dia, sumo, leite, café, chás, iogurtes, fruta (podia ter mais variedade e em melhor estado), cereais, compotas, mel e manteiga, queijo e fiambre. A sala de pequeno almoço apenas tem 5 mesas, o que em épocas altas deve ser problemático. O pessoal do hotel foi todo sempre 5 estrelas, muito simpáticos, sempre prontos a ajudar e a aconselhar tudo o que precisávamos, estando sempre alguém na receção 24 horas. Principalmente pela relação qualidade/preço aconselho vivamente este Hotel.

In einem Park gelegen aber mitten in der Stadt.

Sehr schöne Lage im Herzen der Stadt. Keine Parkplatzprobleme und Top ruhige Lage. Liegt in einem Park für den man sonst Eintritt zahlen muss. Nachts kommen nur noch Hotelgäste rein, daher sehr ruhig. Die Ausstattung ist sehr einfach. Lange nicht renoviert, daher alles etwas abgenutzt.
