Gîte in the castle - swimming pool with view - charm, history and nature

"This is a very special property and I recommend it highly.It is very much a chateau/castle as per the photos, with lovely wood floors, styled ceilings, antique furniture. The beds are old fashioned but comfortable. The bathrooms are all modern and well equipped with good showers. The place is exceptionally well equipped - everything you could possibly need when it comes to dining and cooking. On arrival, there were some supplies to start us off till we could get to the shops, which was very generous. Everything is of very good quality and you are trusted to use lovely things. There was huge assortment of drawing and colouring materials and toys for the children, also board games. The pool is lovely and a good size. There is an amazing pool house which again is fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, fridge, and cooking facilities including a bbq.Phillipe and Marina live on site in another part of the chateau. They were perfect hosts, completely unobtrusive but helpful when we had questions. We stayed for two weeks, a family of three couples and two children. I'm not sure anyone ever bbq'd as much as we did, and Phillipe and Marina certainly had a lot to put up with, as we generated a lot of recycling and compost and so on, which they quietly dealt with along with keeping the pool clean, a challenge as the kids were in the pool from morning till night!Thank you so much to both of them for a most amazing stay and we would love to be able to return.,"

"Heerlijke week met familie gehad in dit huis! Veel potjes tennis, tafeltennis en jeu de boules gespeeld. Heel fijn zwembad. Leuk dat er allemaal verschillende plekjes en hoeken zijn in de tuin waar je kan zitten. Fijn dat zoveel gezellige spullen in het huis aanwezig waren, zoals tafelkleden en sport/spel."

"The house is very atmospheric, full of interesting furniture, and paintings by the owner. It was at a comfortable temperature even in the middle of a heatwave. Beyond the pleasant area near the house, with a big table and chairs sheltered by a magnificent wisteria, are extensive grounds to wander in. Seating is provided at many points. (The items for playing in the pool were in a poor state - but perhaps they had been left by other guests)The nearby village is sadly diminished, with the only bar and restaurant closed. The boulangerie was temporarily closed for the baker’s August holiday, but a replacement service was helpfully offered at the nearby Mairie, a five-minute walk from the house."

"This is a really lovely gite in a great setting with views all around. It was lovely to swim in the outdoor pool with rose bushes and hibiscus bushes. The garden is also well stocked with games and hammocks, and there was a volleyball net in the pool, which was fun. The gite itself is well equipped and has everything you might need. We particularly enjoyed travelling around the area, visiting cafes and restaurants - some of which were very good indeed. We did have a small problem with something early in our holiday, but the hosts were brilliant and got it sorted out quickly for us. Overall, it was a great holiday in a lovely rural setting and a great base from which to experience the Loire Valley."

"Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. L’annonce est conforme à la maison. En revanche la propreté laissait un peu à désirer : la salle de jeux n’était pas propre, un peu de vaisselle également mal nettoyée. La piscine est petite c’est vrai mais correspond à la description. Nous avons également été quelque peu embêtés par le chien du voisin qui est venu nous voir à plusieurs reprises. Le terrain de pétanque est top, à l’ombre et il y a suffisamment de vaisselles pour 20. 2 grands frigos et la Clim dans une chambre, ce qui a été bien apprécié. Bref, le rapport qualité-prix est très convenable"
