"We stayed in the Sunbeam villa. This place is absolutely beautiful! Francesca and her team have thought about every detail to make her guests more comfortable - from providing insect repellent and mosquito coils (much needed as there are quite a few insects around) to doing our laundry, to cooking our meals (especially a delicous seafood BBQ), we felt very well looked after even though we were the only guests at the time. The room was clean and tastefully furnished, with a comfortable bed and good aircon. Upstairs and downstairs outside seating areas and a separate kitchen as well as a beautiful private pool. The bathroom is below the bedroom and can be reached internally as well as externally from the ground floor, but the ladder steps down from the bedroom are quite steep to negotiate in the night, so worth considering this if mobility is an issue (other villas may have different layouts). There is a nice beach right next door (and another around the corner) but you need a car to get into Kudat or the tip of Borneo as the location is quite remote - which for us was one of the attractions! This place deserves to be full all the time. Amazing value for money by European standards!"

"Helpful staff, sorted us out with a ride to the ferry terminal when our arranged lift didn’t turn up, good food nearby (the Chinese restaurant behind the hotel), air conditioning was good and the bed was comfortable. Perfect for one night on the way to Banggi Island. "
