Although this apartment has been renovated it is an old home with much character and charm providing a truly authentic Bloomfield experience. 2nd Floor Apartment, must climb one flights of stairs. I reached out several times to see if I could bring my cat with me. I contacted them several times through text, email and a phone call but no response. I needed to know if I could bring my cat and have a late checkout as I had to go to work. But since I didn’t get a response I had to leave her behind. If the number listed is incorrect on the site it shouldn’t be listed. Also the description of the apartment door was incorrect a completely different color so that was confusing on arrival. Once I was in contact with the host I did express my frustration about the poor communication and there was no apology or even an acknowledgment. They just went onto the next topic. The apartment was a comfortable stay however the neighborhood is just ok it is exactly one minute from a cemetery luckily you don’t see it from any of the rooms. Mathilda is a nice street in a good neighborhood, with Bloomfield on one side and Garfield/Friendship on the other. Place itself is very nice and clean, easy to get into, and an easy walk from various restaurants and attractions, including the amazing Allegheny Cemetery, filled with historic mausoleums and obelisks. Lots of free parking in the area, and easy drive to different parts of the city. If you like nightlife and happen to be there on the first Friday of the month, Penn Avenue in Garfield comes alive with hip/artsy activities until 10 pm, don't miss it! I am definitely staying here again if I visit Pittsburgh. ##### j m.
