It offers you an open floor plan, lots of sunshine streams through an abundance of windows, a large private rear deck that has twenty-mile views every season, a cook's kitchen with gas, and your own private creek. A wrap-around covered front porch can be enjoyed year-round. It's close to numerous waterfalls, hiking trails, mountain biking, shopping, and delicious restaurants in Brevard, Hendersonville, or a short drive to Asheville. This lovely luxury country home is located in a residential neighborhood at an elevation of over 3,000 feet on the top of Black Knob Mountain in the heart of Pisgah Forest. Relax on the large rear deck that overlooks the ancient and historic mountains of Western North Carolina. Enjoy a gentle rain on the wraparound-covered front porch or sip your favorite beverage on the screened-in porch off the primary suite. The home is very private and is situated on five lush acres in a quiet mountain subdivision with all paved roads (no four-wheel drive needed). The one-plus-acre backyard is level, with soft grass, and is great for strolling or for kids to play. Make s’mores at the backyard fire pit and catch fireflies in the cool summer evenings. There is a private creek running through the property that is fun to explore and enjoy nature. The inside of the home is laid out perfectly. It has a lovely open floor plan, but at the same time gives you and your guests the privacy you desire. Deer Path is a perfect place to work and play. Wi-Fi is around 135 Mbps upload/fiber optic, which works very well for Zoom meetings for work or while visiting with family or friends. Enjoy the cool mountain breezes that flow through the house, as the home was designed and built to take advantage of the cool mountain summer air. Our kids loved playing in the creek and seeing the deer and bunnies in the backyard at dusk/dawn. A close drive (20 minutes) to Brevard for fun restaurants and entertainment, Pisgah National Forest for beautiful hikes, and more. The property was very clean, well stocked with cleaning supplies, dish and laundry soap, cooking/utensils, firewood for fire pit (we did not partake but saw the supply), games, and internet was nice for tv or calls when we were indoors. The location is perfect for outdoor activities with Dupont State Park and Pisgah National Forest just a few minutes away. We love riding our bikes in Dupont and it's super close. The home is well stocked and has everything we need for a comfortable stay. Some days, we just love hanging out at the house. The peaceful setting makes it extremely relaxing when you just want to curl up with a book or have a movie marathon. The kitchen is well designed to make delicious meals to enjoy as you watch the sunset. I think the master bedroom has a new bed, which was a little too firm for me, but my husband loves it! But really, a queen bed of extreme height is not a good choice for a vaca rental; it was wrong for us and truly lacks universal appeal. It was not only too small for two average - not large - adults, but just felt unsafe. We did not sleep well the whole week. Speaking of unsafe: we walked the property, including the sloping driveway, which looked fine to the naked eye but was in places covered by algae/fungi/some kind of growth that turned out to be horribly slippery. We were minutes away from Dupont State park (we actually rode our bikes there and back). The Blue Ridge Pkwy is about 50 minutes away, and Pisgah National Forest about 45 minutes. The house itself is extremely well stocked with everything you need. The kitchen is the best stocked kitchen I've ever seen in a VRBO home. It was comfortable and private with beautiful sunsets. The sound of the nearby creek was a perfect backdrop to reading a book on the screened back porch. I can't say enough about this place. We loved it, and we will go back! ##### Lynda W. Was easy access for our family to visit the Biltmore, Pisgah Forest Waterfalls, and Blueridge Parkway.
