The price is as cheap as you will find in this area. Fortunately, the rooms are clean and tidy, and the nights were quiet. Unfortunately, this hotel is a little run down and is currently housing long-term residents and as such the hallways smell of people cooking in their rooms. If budget is number one, then this is your place.

If you dont mind screaming babies, kids running in the hall, people walking back and forth outside of your room on their cellphone with it on speaker, then THIS place is for you.
Our bathtub drip too.

Bed bugs, room 261. I fought through it, didn’t say anything. Staff was warm and friendly, but I still feel itchy.

Very sketchy people who seemed like they lived or perhaps worked out of their rooms. Filled garbage bags in hallways - stinks badly.
My girlfriend was terrified and Im embarrassed for bringing her there.

Our checkin was the biggest issue we had. Apparently, if you don’t have a drivers licence or a ‘purple card’ (Ontario gov. Issued card) you will not be able to check in… passport nor medical/medicare cards are acceptable- apparently having a credit card on file isn’t good enough either!
I was lucky enough to have ppl I know that lived there that was able to help me.
Overall staff is great and was pleasant.
Cleanliness could be improved.
Very surprised that continental breakfast included make your own waffles or pancakes. The eggs however were not good.

I have checked in after 6Pm but room wasn’t cleared yet. Used towel was haggling on the door. I really do not appreciate that. I painted for it. I told the receptionist and did not even care about it.

Booked in the last minute and it was way too much expensive for a night… Upon arrival, I was so disappointed with the poor condition of the building and on top the most terrible service… Dirty drapes with stains all over, washroom was dirty, bed cover was covered with black lints all over.. hallways was filled with litter.. and on top, during breakfast the staff was so rude with a fellow guest. She literally screamed at the guest for taking 2 yogurt packs and to my shock she went and snatched the other pack from the guest’:s table.. I will never return here.. I recommend Expedia to remove such low quality property listings.. it is super deceiving.. waste of $135 😣😣

This place needs to be torn down and rebuilt. Very old amenities and is run down.
This hotel has been on its last leg and is falling.

Thank you for your review Peter, we appreciate your business. I want to provide a bit more information on the business beside our location - the firehall. This particular firehall hosts the training for the 'jaws of life' and the many different challenges the fire fighters face with cars flipped and on their side. It may look like a vehicle junk yard but it all about the training.
One chooses Comfort Inn for the brand. You always know what to expect. This failed short in a big way. This property had the second floor and parts of first floor lived in by refugees or homeless people. So not a hotel environment at all/ My room was disgusting and not cleaned. The smell was disgusting. It was late so had no choice. They did find another room. Felt very unsafe. Lots of people hanging around. I would like a refund.
