Stroll down Philipsburg’s main street and you’ll quickly be transported to the prosperous times of the region’s silver-mining boom. Admire period shop frontages and grand residential buildings standing against a backdrop of the Pintler and Flint Creek mountain ranges. The geologically rich mountains and lakes around Philipsburg are famed for their Montana sapphires.
