"Manganui Cottage is a cute little cottage situated on a working farm. When I went in the winter time I was met by a lovely warm fire, and the place was clean and homely. I was able to walk around the farm after meeting the farm manager and owner, so it was great to wander around the farm, taking pics, and talking to the very friendly sheep who all followed me around every time I went through their paddock.This is a really lovely find, and if you just want a few days peace and quiet to work on a project without interruptions, this is the place. Beautiful view of the hills on the western side as well. I loved my stay here."

"Off street parking very easy. Hotel and room very nice. However the issues are a steep flight of stairs to get up to the first floor room. The shower is an overhead rain type over bath & not too good for older guests. The shower was difficult to get in and out of and the bath floor very slippery and quite risky for elderly guests. "

"Was lovely setting, very quiet. Host responded quickly to any questions.The only thing wrong is it states 5 bedrooms when there is only 3. Host said Bookabach have listed it like this as there is a couple of pull out couches in the lounges."

"We had a delightful stay over Anzac weekend. The unit was spotless and we had everything we needed to cook for ourselves. We had our small dog with us and the property was fine. The hosts were very friendly but not intrusive. It was plenty warm enough on some cold nights. We'll keep in on our radar to return."
