Close to Carmel, Monterey and Big Sur? Do you want to fall asleep with the sound of the ocean out the window and wake up to the sun shining on the pacific? Look no further! With hundreds of the World’s best golf courses and dining opportunitites within 20 minutes of the house, you will have easy access to the best kind of vacation. The easy access to outdoor activities (walking, running, hiking, golfing) provide rejuvenating opportunities. We hope you will join us. This light, bright & open contemporary Pebble Beach home located halfway between Pebble Beach golf Links and Cypress Point club - within walking distance to The Lodge and adjacent to the Lone Cypress tree along the 17 Mile drive with views of the Pacific from almost every window is the perfect getaway. This home, originally built in 1970 in the Sea Ranch Style has recently undergone a complete remodel. The open kitchen/great room now has additional windows to the sweeping views of the Pacific where you can watch the waves crash and the otters play. A large wood deck opens towards the ocean through sliding doors from the Kitchen. This is the area where you will spend 90% of your time when in the house! There are three buildings on the property. The main house, the guest house and the garage. The main house includes a huge Primary bedroom with a King Size bed and ensuite bath complete with double sinks and walk-in closets. The primary bedroom also includes a large sitting area with sliding door access to an adjacent outdoor patio. Up the stairs is a second large bedroom and a loft space separated by a bathroom. This bedroom boasts a King bed. The loft/den adjacent to the upstairs bedroom has a sitting area with a Flat screen TV and a pull-out sofa for sleeping additional guests. This rental includes a detached 300 square foot guest house. This separate space is the perfect solution for either teens, in-laws, or couples - allowing for private space - yet connection to the main house via the patio - all behind the locked gate. The Guest house has a mini-fridge, it's own en-suite bath with shower/tub and in the sleeping area has a Flat Screen TV and a great reading chair, dresser and book shelf. The very large living room with its abundant windows provides views to the ocean. There is a large dining table in this room to either gather to play games, do a little work or eat a meal. The newly renovated kitchen/great room has a sliding glass door out to an ocean side deck, a large flat screen TV in the sitting area, full sized washer/dryers behind a pocket door, all new top of the line appliances, a large island with seating and great views of the ocean. Each of the three full bathrooms have also been completed remodeled with all new plumbing, cabinets, flooring, lighting. The bathrooms are roomy, bright, modern and VERY functional. There is also a powder room right off the main entrance in what used to be a small closet. There is ample parking at the top of the driveway as well as a several spots along the 17 mile drive, which belong to this property exclusively. There are times when 1 or 2 spaces are available for use in the garage. (please ask if interested). The property also has a Tesla charger in the garage and is available for guests. Enjoy your morning tea/coffee from one of three outdoor patio areas and watch deer, listen for birds, and observe the beauty of the Del Monte Forest which surrounds this special home. You might find more luxurious options, you might find cheaper options, but I can guarantee you won't find another place as unique, special and timeless as this modern tree house in the heart of the Del Monte Forest with the wide pacific expanse out your front door. The Cole House is a very comfortable California style home with lots of glass to view the ocean across the street, and fully updated living and kitchen areas with decorative nods to the home's 1960's heritage. We had three couples and all three rooms were so comfortable and cozy. Enjoyed our view of the Water inside and outside while sitting around the fire pit. The house is immaculate and beautifully decorated. The beds were so comfy and plenty of extra towels and sheets were provided. The kitchen had everything anyone would need. The setting is so peaceful and we enjoyed being able to see the ocean from most rooms in the house. Sitting on the patio with the firepit going and listening to the sounds of the ocean was so restful. The check-in and check-out process was easy. We particularly enjoyed the three-ring binder in the kitchen that had ALL the info you could possibly need. But what we really enjoyed about the binder was reading the history of the original owner (so interesting) and seeing the before and after pictures of the remodel. So well done! The home was located right across from the famous Lone Cypress Tree along 17 mi. Drive. Just a beautiful setting that Carmel has to offer! The home was immaculate! Everything you need was readily available! The only suggestion I can possibly make for the home is having a Nespresso machine! That would have made me so happy! But they did provide all the coffee and condiments ! not to mention a nice stocked bar !! The beds were also super comfortable and the linens were nice! The back house was so equally cute and was perfect as well! I can’t thank Cindy and Tracy enough for making our stay that much more enjoyable! Excellent communication and excellent service!
